My wife has Rhuemotoid arthitis since 4 years & since 2 yeras she is taking 4mg Zempred daily, HCQS 200mg & BGcal CTF. Now she started taking on alternate days as we got to know this steriod should not be used long. Niw whenever after taking this tablet, her heart beat increases & weakness & uneasy. After 30min she feel better & her pain stop. Hope this has no any dangerous impact on her. Her age is 30 yeras. Please advise how to stop taking Zempred 4 mg.

Those are normal side effects of this medication, according to NIH reports. She may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and insomnia.

How long she can safely take it is up to a medical professional. What has her doctor advised?
