Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Top voted first)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Hey! I responded to your post on the other page. The new 8mg bup by Rhodes pharma is the BEST I've ever taken. I was on the awful mylan 924 which caused w/d's for nearly 3 months! I'm now 3 months into taking the RP 8 and the cost was LESS, not more! However, keep in mind I'm going by the CVS cost for Mylan 924 @ $359.00 for 45 tabs vs a mom and pop pharmacy (where I get my RP 8) which only cost $101.21 for a MUCH BETTER PRODUCT! Read my info on the other page. I'll help you locate a pharmacy that carries them. Best of luck, for I KNOW the struggle! My Dr. even told me that Mylan 924 were garbage w/ too many fillers and recommended that I seek a different manufacturer through a different pharmacy. As I went on to begin telling him how pharmacies react to inquiring about manufacturer's, he stopped me and stated he knows how difficult switching pharmacies can be on us. If anyone has a pharmacy by the name of Prime Pharmacy in their city, call them! They were the 1st to carry the RP 8's in Jacksonville, Fl.

Anyone? Anything? I have spoken with the company itself who states it's available at almost every pharmacy in my county and the suppliers say available but pharmacies say not available. Two did but informed me they were double the cost of regular brands by a lot and would not order them for me. :( Any feedback anyone?

Ok..here is my conclusion on All 7 generics.. I have only tried brand name subutex, roxannes (westward) kind not old shinny Roxanne as westward has made them different and chalky now all real Roxanne are most likely faded out by now and we are dealing with only westward 54 411s which are great to but little different than original Roxanne before westward bought them out. I have never tried the smaller ones like teva or activas nor the mylan or hi tech. I would like to try hi tech as they make quality meds but most seem to prefer Roxanne over hi tech so I got those and they worked well..easy switch from he and name films to westward 54 411s..and picked them instead of hi tech or mylan or teva. Anyways I have now tried the new RHODES/PURDUE made newest generic with imprints RP b8 and will list my favorites in order..please note I haven't tried teva, activas, mylan, or hi tech. I do jot like any of those company's except hi tech and stay away from mylan and teva which is now allergan owned meaning activas owns teva and activas makes quality meds but they hit strong and end quick if even at all..so here it goes in my preferred order

#1-Rhodes manfct by purdue- RP b 8 imprints
#2- westward(formerly roxanne)- 54 411
#3-hi tech- 8 arrow
#4-mylan - M923 I believe
#5- teva- b799
#6-sun pharma- 460
#7- activas- orange pill with crescent moon

I must say the Rhodes are fantastic. They are about the same size as westward Roxanne but way more shinny and a little chalky like a good soma would be. The imprints and making of the pill are phenomenal and it kicks in very quickly and lasts longer than Roxanne but comes very close..this is one time where I have questioned ever generics being a close call and hard to decide but Rhodes are stronger than Roxanne at least for me..but I like both and would be happy getting either or but if I choose it would always be Rhodes. I have yet to try the hi tech or any small ones except brand name due to all bad reviews I've seen and the fact that allergan owns activas and teva and they make addictive cheap meds that hit hard but end quick and I have stayed away from mylan my whole life on every type of medicine sop yee lol. And on the sun pharma I know sun pharma medicines are expensive so follow the money u hear but I hear people saying they don't like the sun's at all but they are the most expensive of the 7..and I like my medicine to he made in the US where I don't think sun and novartis (sandoz) are anymore. Rhodes is phenomenal and will be everyone's preferred soon..again still need to try the hi tech but is say get Rhodes as purdie makes it for them..purdue invented oxycontin keep in mind and Rhodes just dispenses it so purdie makes the Rhodes ones. If you can't get Rhodes get westward Roxanne as it is a close call Rhodes is stronger by far but Roxanne are also just calm and nice as well..if u can't get wither I would say hi tech or mylan but imo I will be sticking with

-rhodes/Purdue-feedback RP b 8
-roxanne(westward)- 54 411
- and hi tech- 8 arrow

When I decide to try it if needed..the rest are cheap and junk. The make with cheapest ingredient so they can make most money stick with these top three. Please if you have any questions I know my pharmacology very well and all the generics and which are best and not just for bup but for benz to and all..generic king here lol. Please ask anytime u have a medicine question il be happy.

Got the rhodes/purdue ones today after switching from the Roxanne 54 411s and will see how the top two generics of subutex compare as the roxanne (westwatd) 54 411 pill seems to be preferred but the new rhodes made by purdue RP b 8 imprinted pill is new & just came out in October 2017. I will compare and if anyone has any questions of the Roxanne compared to Rhodes I will know here in a few hours. Yay!

These are the same meds as 54/411s. I just picked some up today from my pharma and me and my wife think they are better than 54/411s. Me and my wife are prescribed subutex and we love them. This medicine has changed our lives. We went from junkys living in a tent with nothing and now have a 3 bedroom home and 2 beautiful babies. We are so blessed for this medication. It does work. I was addicted to drugs all my life from 13 years old all the way up till I was 31 years old and I have been on subutex for 5 1/2 years and going on 6 years sober. I have not touched anything. I couldnt believe the power this drug has to get rid of all withdrawing or even thinking about using any drug. I just love the medication and would shake the person's hands just to say thank you for saving my life and my wifes and giving my kids back there father and god bless you.

The only bad comment I will give on this medication is all the doctors out here making so hard on addicts and benefiting off of someones addiction. Shame on you for charging $500. The lowest I've seen is $225 just to get wrote a prescription for subutex and we all know most addicts have no insurance. So after paying all that you have to get them out of the pharmacy. So I say god will sort you out in the end cause no addict should have to pay almost a $1000 bucks a month to try and get sober. To be honest this supplement should be sold over the counter and not through any doc or pharma cause their giving the supplement (thats what im calling it) a bad name and its not right whats happening to people that are addicted to opiates, xanax and other illicit drugs. Its all this government drug dealing at its best and I hate that im still addicted to subutex but its better than the other option I have on my plate. So I say to purdue pharma, thank you for making the best subutex. Me and my family thank you and say please keep the price down on us people. Not druggies or addicts, I say people.

Then why are you on this site commenting on peoples post then? Kinda backwards to what you're saying, don't you think? People ask these questions because some pharmacies put different ingredients in the meds. That's why some taste different and make you feel different. So that's why we ask these questions on here and you're wrong about what you said. No one is commenting on blood pressure pills cause they are just looking it up like you did this site and truly you could find any drug on this site and talk about it even blood pressure pills. Geez get a grip on yourself and think before you type stupid comments, just saying.

Re: Jenb (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

I haven't found the Rhodes yet, but I've used the orange half-moon (Actavis?), the M 924 (Mylan), and the tiny white ones with an arrow on them.

From my experience on those listed above, I prefer the M 924. They feel strong and last a full 24 hours. The Actavis were #2 for me. They never feel as strong, and seem to fade earlier than 24 hours (I dose once per day). The small white pills with the arrow, I did not like at all. I found myself having to re-dose after just 12 hours.

I've read thru other reviews, and everyone seems different. Maybe it's all in our heads!

Re: Tim (# 40) Expand Referenced Message

Your doc is a nut and you need to find a different physician. They are not cracking down on subutex abuse, they're cracking down on doctors and pharmacies charging too much, so they're making a law for them to start taking insurance for the treatment and thats why your doc is saying this, cause he does not want to write subutex. This drug saves lives and it's 99.9% effective if taken correctly. Please stop posting stuff like this cause it would only cause a scare for the people that actually take this supplement daily. Its not a drug so I tell you it should be sold over the counter cause its a magical and overwhelming benefit to every community out there in the states. There is an opiate crisis and I myself have lost a few family members to overdoses which is really sad cause if they could have bought this supplement they would be still alive but they could not afford it to get clean cause they were addicted to opiates and many other drugs. Our government made this crisis. It's the government's fault. For one they bought and made every drug in this country. There is higher power at work here around this country and they are not for your benefit. Sorry about going off track from your question but I will tell you this, im in indiana close to louisville, ky and both have clinics popping up every where, and they are not taking subutex away, they are mass producing it lol and buprenorphine is the same as suboxone/naloxone. They are the same but I will tell you if you take suboxone/naloxone you need to get off it because it should be only taken the first 6 months after getting off drugs and the reason I say this is cause naloxone will mess with your breathing and heart under long term use, so get off it and get on subutex cause it will be devastating for you in the long run. So I say tell your doc to run backwards in a corn field with his pants down cause he's a nut job lol.

Jenb (# 20) & Goozer --

I was on the rox 54s for almost 3 years straight and loved em. Didn't want any other brand. My mom and pop pharmacy just made the switch from the 54s to the b8 RPs and honestly at first I was worried. I had never seen them before. Especially after being on the same brand (roxanne) for 3 years solid. But take my word, these b8 rhodes ones are almost identical other than I feel there is less bunk (fillers) in them. No W/D's at all on the switch. And if your like me, you'll be happy to hear that they dissolve in water better than the 54s. As if I thought that was possible before haha. I'm confident that you will be if you are already very pleased with the quality and make up of these new rhodes RPs. Good luck and have a great day!!!

Re: Goozer (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Hey Goozer. Didn’t look at the date, so this may be late. Good ole CVS tried to push the orange creepy Actavis on me just now.... Specifically asked yesterday to have them order the Hi-tech (arrows) they said no problem. Put up a stink, trying the Rhodes now, hopefully will be pleasantly surprised. Will post in a bit. Best to ya.

When I first started taking Suboxone I got the same effect from all my favorite pain meds, sadly the longer you take subs the more that good feeling effect will fade, now taking a half is pretty much like my cup of coffee and taking a whole will make me tired

Re: Chris (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks for the feedback but inwas inquiring if you have tried the brand new ones made by Purdue pharma and dispensed by Rhodes Pharmacuetical with imprints RP b8. I had no luck finding it anywhere in my city as all said out of stock or available soon and few pharmacist inform me it is non-preffered and lile double the cost of all other 6 manufactures. If it's double the cost it has to be double quality..follow the money..but have yet to get anyone's experience with the new Rhodes generic NOT Roxanne I'm looking for Rhodes generic feedback. The Roxanne seem fine never tried hi-tech but I'm going to find these new Rhodes if I can and pay..purdie makes them for Rhodes and Purdue makes good medicene..again any feedback on RHODES generic new one that would be great. Also why you like hi tech over roxanne?

Re: Tim (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

Honestly after my months of searching, I think it comes down to the pharmacist and their ability and willingness to contact their wholesale supplier to request them, whether that is cardinal McKesson AmerisourceBergen..etc. I like both though but most pharmacists just see 'not available' in their system so I think it comes down to pharmacists being willing to call their supplier and ask them to find it because it's available and has been since October 2017...slowly making their way in the supply chain. Call the suppliers and Rhodes even... but I was informed they should be available to most last week or this week so they should be more available soon. It also is area dependent as well. All strange but if you have Roxanne ones I wouldn't sweat it too much. Rhodes are better but Roxanne are in their own way as well. You'll find them, just can't stop at it or take no for an answer. It is your money.

Re: Tim (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

Tim, what state and city do you live? I used CVS exclusively in the beginning until they switched to the garbage Mylan 940's, which left me in horrible w/d's for 3 months! On a whim, I did a google search of pharmacies in my area, read reviews for each one, and chose Prime Pharmacy here in Jacksonville Fl based on their high reviews. Luckily, I only had to do this once to get bup brand that got me out of w/d's. I had never heard of the manufacturer Rhodes Pharmacy that provided me the b-8 bup tablets. I was freaking out that it was more garbage and expected another month of w/d's. Fortunately for me, that brand took me out of my w/d's w/in 20 mins and prior to the pill fully dissolving. I can't express the relief I endured. I just picked up my 4th month with this pharmacy and bup manufacturer. I asked my pharmacist about the meds and discovered they chose them because their cost was much less than Mylan!! I would get the phone # for Rhodes Pharmacy and take it to your pharmacist to have them call and begin ordering from them. Tell them the costs should be less for them. Do it before your next rx date...so they have time to call and order for you. Some pharmacies aren't aware of Rhodes Pharmacy and their lower fees. I hope this will get them on the ball for your next refill. I'd also pursue other small pharmacies and give them the same info and request that they try ordering from Rhodes Pharmacy for bup. My clonazepam comes from Rhodes Pharmacy as well, but I prefer Teva for those. Lmk if I can help. Best wishes.

Holy s---! 90/120 for 30 day supply??!! I’m sorry but there is no possible way anyone needs to take 32 mgs or even 24 mgs a day! Especially if you are taking these instead of suboxone! I thought my doctor was a pill pusher, daem….you guys’ doctors are really off the rails to prescribe that high of a dose for one day! I don’t know why you sound envious…just think when you guys will have to kick these things, you won’t be so envious then! I myself am down to one 8mg pill a day and I can’t wait until I’m completely weaned off these bi**hes! Good luck to everyone……

What I do is take my subutex around midnight, because I found if I waited until the morning when I get up, I talk and eat so the subutex gets wasted basically because my body does not have a chance to absorb the pill. Also I make sure as soon as it’s all melted, I get up and brush my teeth really good and use mouthwash to hopefully help my teeth last longer…
