Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 6) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:
*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.
I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.
Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.
Re: goozer (# 545)
You are our most beloved source of the truth and I sincerely thank you. One more question. I'm prescribed 24mg a day. On the rp I got really sleepy. I had a 54/11 left and took that. Bam, I felt alive. What is your take on that? Too many variables to answer, I know, forgive me. Do rp make you sleepy or maybe I should lower my dose? Once again I speak for many. You're officially our med guru.
Re: Charlene (# 547)
hell ya charlene i love you and loce you all and here to help in any and every way possible. it touches my heart charlene and truly wish i knew how to get to know you and all of you my fam.
Re: Tim (# 570)
So damn what are we supposed to do? Go back to our pill of choice?..taking away the only two generics that actually work. I'll be damned , I will not take any other generic out there other than Rhodes or hikma, I will go back to my percocet 10s than take the other junk brands we have .
Rhodes is the best subutex hands down. You can take half the dose and get down off it easy if you're committed to stopping all together...
Re: Davidjw1 (# 668)
Hi david,..just curious about your statement about the original brand, when I started taking this medicine way back when only brand name was around, the suboxone was orange stop sigh shaped, and the subutex was white shaped not rounded with what looked like a cross was on one side...so I'm just confused when you called subutex orange?..
Hi, I started reading from the beginning of this thread and the jumped forward to the present. I'm sorry if this has already been brought up and I missed it, but does anyone have any knowledge or experience with Belbuca? if so please let me know, Thanks
Re: Jack175 (# 709)
Also known as Belbuca, Probuphine, Buprenex, and Butrans. It is a narcotic It can treat pain as well as addiction to narcotic pain relievers.it is a partial opioid agonist as well they are simply put buccal films prescribed for pain relief. It is buprenorphine in buccal form which is marketed and patented for pain relief for "on label" use. For example an off label med would be if a dr rxed subutex for pain when it was not approved marketed or patented for that reason. Buccals are very interesting and it sure took em long enough to approve a form of buprenorphine for actual pain and on label.but simply put is buprenorphine form film (buccal (pressed inside your cheek for placement) ) made for chronic pain relief and treatment of chronic pain but is just buprenorphine made by indivior formerly reckitt benckiser just like subutex but in buccal and McG forms
Re: Goozer (# 710)
Hey, thanks for the response. That's the one. Trying to get used to it, Prescribed for chronic back pain, and can't take schedule 2 meds. 2nd month on it and up to 600mcg.
Re: Vic (# 712)
Hey, thanks for the note. Yes, brand only and it's a small wafer that you stick on your cheek for 12 hours.
Re: Goozer (# 707)
Hikma did in fact change the pills after changing from West ward. They are close to what the used to be now and for a while they were garbage. I take the Rhodes now and I took the old Teva and brand name for years. Nothing being put out now is even close to the Teva or the name brand.
I’m currently taking the rp b8 and find them to be very good. I have tried all of the others when I was on the street and these are most certainly up there with the Roxanne’s and hi techs.
Re: Rene (# 764)
Wow, I don't hear to many people who say they don't like to take the Rhodes bup,..I do anything to get some pharmacy's in my area to start to carry them..I'm hopeful within the new year more pharmacy's will start to notice them and order them..I have been in treatment since 2005 and was lucky to have had the chance of taking brand name subutex, so as soon as I heard about Rhodes and got some. It's was a blessing because they only other good one we had are the hikma 54 411s....and this medacine is very expensive..you'd think they would keep good medacine on the shelf because of this so called crisis..first Purdue pharmaceuticals gets us addicted to their oxys, and then turn around and give us the best dark generic bup. The sackler family didn't get rich from stupidity..
Re: Goozer (# 3)
I’ve been on The 54411 for seven years and today I go to pharmacy and they hand me my script and said here are new ones and there cheaper!!!I said What u didn’t even tell me u were switching!!Well anyway since I’ve been on the Roxannes 54411 for so long when I took the new RP b8 they instantly worked!Dont know if it’s because it’s New meds after being on Roxannes for 7 years or they Really Work!!!But So Far So Good!!And I was paying $180 for 90 Roxannes and these are $100 for 90
Re: Big T (# 789)
I don’t at all. The 54 411’s are the only ones I found that actually work good, just my opinion though.
Re: Goozer (# 3)
I've always taken the 54 411 but cannot find them anywhere anymore. I have however had the roads brand and they suck. I heard generic drugs are allowed to be 10% off from the original. If that's the case I believe the 54411 are 10% better and the roads are 10% worse. I know they're not as strong as the Roxanne. Now that Roxanne sold out to Westward/Hikma does anyone know if they're going to continue making medicine the same way as Roxanne did? Did they put a new imprint on it cuz I cannot find the Roxanne anywhere?
Re: Sinner85 (# 803)
It is proven that healthy balanced diet with daily exercise of as little as 30 minutes of continueous walking improves over all health. If you ever had a broken arm or leg and had it immobilized in a cast or brace for as little as 4 weeks that limb could lose 1/2 its muscle or more.....so no exercise is similar to this only the entire body suffers this muscle loss....in addition it served my mental health greatly and overall mood and sleep patterns. "Motion over time equals health and longevity" has been known at some level for as long as we've been in this planet.....go for it, any of us long-term opiate addicts can attest it is one of the hardest parts of long-term sobriety to recover our own bodies natural ability to produce its own endorphins again after we inadvertently turned it off by feeding it artificial endorphins in the form of opiates. It takes time and commitment to get there but you can......good luck
Re: Hannah (# 822)
Me too. It was eating candy. It didn’t work for my pain at all. I don’t know if it’s because the pills are so tiny or what. They were horrible.
Re: Hannah (# 830)
The only two generics of buprenorphine that are worth getting are my number one is Rhodes second is hikma
Re: Charlene (# 832)
I was on the orange 1/2 moon and by far the worst. I would wake up in the morning in near withdraw. The 1st month on Rhodes was a great improvement.
Just got the Rhodes ones today and was on the Actavis surfboards before, and these Rhodes seem to be the best ones I have had by far!!!
