Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 48) (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
 *mylan- M924
 *teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
 *actavis- moon 153
 *sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.
    Re: Big T (# 776)

They no longer make roxannes. V Roxanne. 411 tablets handbook at the three different formulas they have. Roxanne are the only decent looking tablet the others do not look quality anymore

    Re: Breid (# 779)

Wait what us your new favorite hi tech or rhodes???

    Re: Breid (# 779)

Rhodes is your favorite the RP B8 imprinted white tabkets?

    Re: Big T (# 776)

What pharmacy are you getting the Rhodes from? Every pharmacy around me carries activis

    Re: Charlene (# 766)

I’m the same way!! If I can’t find hikma I’m in bad shape all month. I found Rhodes and I haven’t had them for a good 6 months or better and I’ve been taking the damn orange activis cause that’s all that is around my area. I drove to find these Rhodes in a different city I hope to god they work just as good if not better that the hikma s or Roxanne’s!

What u mean locked in system? I utiluze those 3 early days always?..what u mean

    Re: Matt (# 783)

Ya I've always gotten Rhodes. My pharma will order me any generic I prefer so lots of himkas and Rhodes however I did get activas this month and honestly Rhodes is identical to brand name in active and inactive ingredients so Rhodes us brand name in that way...and activas is identical to Rhodes in active and inactive ingredients except for the fd&c color dye they have so it's strange to get all this negative feedback on activas when they are identical to Rhodes/ brand name except the color dye.i will see how this batch works have many Rhodes and himka left in case.but only thing that can differ is active ingredient amount I suppose and color dye

    Re: Matt (# 783)

Roxannes are the same as himkas company wise at least. Unfortunately Roxanne Labs was unfortunately taken over by Westward then Himka Pharma acquired the 54 411 formulation and all Roxannes wonderfully potently made generic medications.. so there are actually three formulations out there of the 54 411s. Roxannes are gone now unless someone is lucky enough to stop by a pharmacy that has actual og Roxanne 54 411 which were shiny, sturdy, imprinted well and did not break apart easily and were certainly more potent than the other two forms of 54 411 tabs by westward and himkas which are similar in appearance very close....but are different but himka and westwards are break apart crumbly tablets with no shine a barely visible imprints at times when the roxannes were so shiny and sturdy and never just broke apart from wear and tear so to say..just look up 54 411 imprint pill images and you will see the shiny debossed out tablets with clear and strong imprints and compare to the other images of 54 411s tabs and you will see a tremendous difference in quality and appearance. RIP ROXANNE you made amazing if not the best generics on all your manufactured meds. Will be forever missed. And thank you Rhodes and purdue

    Re: Goozer (# 787)

I’ve been on Roxannes for 7 years and I knew nothing about Roxannes being Stopped!!!When I went to my pharmacy last week to pick my Sebs up she gave me The RP b8’s and j called the pharmacy when I got home and ask her why in the hell she switched my meds without letting me know she just said they were cheaper nothing about they Stopped making them!!Thats really sad to here this because they were a GRET Generic Pill!I really loved the Roxannes!!!But I live in Louisiana so hopefully they still have them around here a little bit longer

    Re: Goozer (# 1)

Yes I've been getting the same old brand until last month and I got these Rhodes Purdue S8 I must say I noticed instantly just looking at the pill and obviously it looks like it's been pressed or however its held together way higher quality, for me that is a great start but what I really like is they dissolve like a true sublingual pill and perhaps not nearly as bitter.....this may all be in my head after all I am in recovery and the science and quality does make a difference. Bottom line after 8 years on this medication to wit I started at 8mg three times daily. I learned this medication works better for me at lower doses and I later read there is scientific evidence supporting this even by the manufacturer who wants to sell more not less so I have to believe it. I am now on between 6 to 8 mg daily as follows I break my 8 mg into 1/4's and take 2 mg 3 to 4 times daily.....I accidentally found out they were more effective at lower doses when I didnt have insurance for prescriptions and 90 subutex could be as high as 150.00 in my city. I naturally lowered the dose on my own and after conferring with my doctor I was able to lower it immediately from 24 mg daily to 8 mg or less daily. Good luck out there all you good people getting your lives and families back together.....if you're on this site and reading this thread you will likely understand exactly what I'm sharing....happy Thanksgiving

It was a challenge convincing my addict prone brain that LESS actually works better......you can Google buprinorphine read through a ton of small print and find it written in black and white less of this medication works better in many cases.
 Gobble Gobble Gobble

    Re: Vic (# 796)

I feel numb all the time and I never feel genuinely happy, I feel like all the medication has had major impact on my emotions, and that’s why I’m trying to take less and less, I’ve been prescribed 24 mg a day for years now and 2 months ago I cut that in half and this week I started to take only a quarter of 8 mg tablet 3-4 times a day but still feel numb

    Re: Big T (# 788)

Roxanne was a fantastic if not best next to Watson generic company sad to see em go

    Re: Raney (# 805)

How long does it take to have normal endorphins?

The Rp b8 are the same as 54 411 in my opinion besides the fact that they are indeed a bit thinner they have the same effect
If you haven't tried the Rhodes version of buprenorphine you should not give your opinion.
I have taken 3 8mg Subutex for three years once I was given mylan generic and I suffered withdrawal. 2 weeks ago I was given the Rhodes buprenorphine and I am experiencing the exact problem as I did mylan.
I hope that no one takes your advice about the Rhodes. you will be the cause of someone having a terrible month. Goozer should that be gober

    Re: Alleyg (# 809)

Honestly just providing info and feedback. Happy to be hear and ive tried all generics which are mostly very very similar. Have the 54 411s by Roxanne, westward, and himka, also have activas, rhodes, Mylan's, and few brand name. Most of the generics have completely identical active and inactive ingredients besides the color dye ie activas and the lactose may vary but besides that that are all very similar and in my experience the Rhodes have been my preferred generic and they compare to others but they compare closest to brand name than any other. Everyone is different and everyone here mostly knows their preference but your not alone we are all mostly here because this type of thing has happened to us as well and or need feedback..everyone has their preferred generic but mostly all the same except how much active is in it by that generic maker that seems how much they put in
.any other differences in generics would be the way your body takes the inactive ingredients and how it processes. Rhodes is closest to brand name out of all the generics currently available in the states and this is what works for me and what I've experienced and many people here help each other with their provided feedback that's why we are here..I would not compare Mylan with a Rhodes (purdue) quality product at all but if that was your experience thank you for the needed feedback. We all are in or been in this "rare" situation you describe you dr says is rare...not rare if anything more common than rare..its why we all are here and again thanks for the feedback it is needed for many and is certainly gober.

    Vic (# 806) -

For me personally it varied based on the amounts I was using and how long I used them and clearly the amounts I used (and how many years I used those high amounts) never really wanting to stop.

    Re: Vic (# 806)

For me it depended highly on years of use, quantity of or amounts ingested daily and i never was the type to boast about how much i can scarf down. In fact for 40 years I built my own prison of self deceit and literally not one single peer, co-worker, neighbor, friend, boss or superior....not to mention my wife who loves me like no other and assured me we will beat this mental health disease, my children will suffer short and long term with a huge confusing burden placed firmly on their shoulders with little chance of learning what it all means or how it is truly affecting them in the most important areas yet to come.....I've known 100+ people personally that are so filled with fear at the thought of a termanal diagnosis they go into lockdown mode and barley find a real strategy as it is really hard doing what is necessary and often works long enough to start believing the experience of countless opiate addicts who've tried everything except the proven time texted methods....with a sponsor to keep you on track and REALLY working the steps for a pretty long period of time.....this is why we are asked to let go and commit to do what's suggested by and from your recovering fellow peers having been there worked the steps and are prospering today. Trust your sponsor if he has long term sobriety yet never let up on the routine that for him or her there. You end up helping countless newcomers in fear of not quite understanding how they got to their bottoms and finally willing to follow the successful sponsor in guidance and sound answers for you in particular. Big buck. Love Raney.
