Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 43)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799 *actavis- moon 153 *sun pharma- 460 white round [And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic] *RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges. I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has. Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

I appreciate your knowledge and all that but is that all you do is research generic drugs? I’m on here because I’m trying to find out why they switched me abruptly from actavis orange flavor to these wretched Rhodes RP b8! It’s like putting aspirin under your tongue for 1/2 hour..tastes awful and I cannot find actavis anywhere in my area as of 01/17/2020. Any ideas? Thanks and didn’t mean to sound b****y above, just kinda shocked as to your knowledge of generic pills. Also, I wanted to say I’m really pissed off that some bum on Medicaid can get suboxone strips non generic for free, and I pay 1000.00 a month for bc/bs and I can only get generic pills. What kind of sense does that make? I’ve been on for 11 years, yes I know, a long time but I’m living a “normal” life finally after 3 decades of hardcore drug addiction. Thanks for anything anyone can tell me.

Yes Walgreens in Michigan was giving me the orange Activis for about 5 years and they suddenly switched to these white Rhodes nasty things. I went to 2 other pharmacies and all they had was the Rhodes also! WTH?! I’m about to switch back to suboxone generic. I can only get generic although my husband is in the union and we pay $1,000.00 a month for insurance! People on Medicaid get the genuine strips! How in the hell does that make any sense?! I’m super peed off!

It seems my local Wallgreens has switched to the Rhodes as I did not request them on my last refill and when I picked up my script I received a sealed 30 count bottle with Rhodes. I have been on this med for about 7 years and down to 2mg. I usually never paid attention to what brand I received and can remember I always got the Activas and always felt like I was just on the edge of being comfortable and being in slight withdraw. The Rhodes felt much better the 1st month but now in the 2nd month, they don't seem to be as strong. I will guess my body just adjusted to the new brand. I am going to request my pharmacy to order the Westward 54 411 as reading all 43 pages of this post they seem to be the favorite.

Re: Jimi315 (# 844) Expand Referenced Message

Wow, this is great news, I say this because my Walgreens that I get most of my other meds except my buprenorphine,.because they always have the orange half moon, I refuse to accept those so I jump Across the street to CVS they always have hikma but I'd really like to try the Rhodes again..I only got the chance to do them about 8 months ago..I'm on southwest Florida so you have given me some hope! It seems with chain pharmacy's if one place has a certain brand they all order the Same brand, so if you're Walgreens has them maybe they more Walgreens will order them to. Thx for the information..

Hello, I’ve been getting the Activis at Walgreens in Michigan for about 5 years. Now all of a sudden they are telling me they can only get the Rhodes, and everywhere else I went, the same thing! So you may want to check with Walgreens again . Good luck and thanks to everyone who understands that all generics are not the same!

Re: Kate (# 852) Expand Referenced Message

Roxanne was the best, however, it got bought out, and it is now called westward/hikma. And having taking the real roxannes I can say they have changed the 54 411 ones quite a bit. Still the best. However I have been taking Rhodes for the last 4 months because they seem to be the cheapest on GoodRx. Well, it changes quite a bit tbh.

Re: tim (# 853) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Tim,

I liked the Roxanne's as well!! I haven’t tried the hikma. I like the high tech the best after trying the Rhodes. The orange ones were terrible for me anyway! The high techs are small and that can be a disadvantage for some but not for me. I have taken Subutex since 2012 and it helps my pain. I do miss the pain pills at times. Bless everyone on this chat. I appreciate you all.

Re: tim (# 853) Expand Referenced Message

Everyone where I live says I should get the 54 411, I've called tons of pharmacies and they either won't tell me or not taking new patients. One rite aid told me that they had the hytech akorns. I just want to know how to ask my pharmacy if they can order the 54 411?

I have went from generic orange suboxone pills, to orange surfboard Actavis subutex pills for years and all of a sudden they changed to the Rhodes b8. I don’t like the no flavor (like aspirin), but other than that, haven’t noticed any difference.
