Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 4)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Re: Goozer (# 6) Expand Referenced Message

Most pharmacy will tell you over the phone they don't have them for safety precautions. Found out the hard way. I am in South Florida and it's getting harder and harder each month to get my script.

I have tried all the brands and BY FAR the Rhodes b8 RP are the best subutex I've ever taken and I've been on narcotics for over 20yrs. Quality pill!

Re: Certifiedaddict (# 62) Expand Referenced Message

Well do not worry. Our government's plan is now bup for the epidemic. So soon it will be a bup epidemic lol, but ya some pharmacies are just rude. Always have a paper rx, never electronic. So you can have it until you find rhodes and in florida should not be hard. That is where they were first dispensed. I heard prime pharmacy out there is really great about helping. Tell your pharmacist you want rhodes. If not u need to transfer it to one that does. If you can't find it ask them if their wholesaler can get them in and they should work with you. Remember these people make a living off our money don't settle or let them make u feel it is out of your reach. Took my hundreds of calls to rhodes pharmacies manufactures and wholesalers and 3 months plus before I found them but they are every where now and governments new aid in the epidemic is going to be bup products so they are every where. Sounds like you need to make a few calls to a good pharmacy willing. Lmk. I can help happily.

Bup and tex will be this year's fix for the epidemic so they should be flooding everywhere soon. Check out prime pharmacy in your area. If you need help I can make it happen.

Let me say that if you are maining them "wink" nothing beats 54-411 i was on them for 4 years and still am. My pharm just switched from 54s to RP8 i just did my first one ever and it feels just like 54 maybe a little better ??. I hate the orange half moons, 8 w arrow, m924 all are garbage. Im very picky with my subs.... 10 out 10 for me with Rp8

Re: Goozer (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Hey Goozer. Didn’t look at the date, so this may be late. Good ole CVS tried to push the orange creepy Actavis on me just now.... Specifically asked yesterday to have them order the Hi-tech (arrows) they said no problem. Put up a stink, trying the Rhodes now, hopefully will be pleasantly surprised. Will post in a bit. Best to ya.

I have just spoken with Rhodes Pharmaceuticals yesterday july 13th, 2018, about the new Rp b8 OS available. They told me to contact the distributors Cardinal, Mckesson, Amerisourse Bergen..Ect. as they will be able to tell you which Pharmacy's carry them. So I called Target they are a CVS pharmacy and they do carry them from Cardinal, but they have been out. Due to nobody ordering them. Also, Winn Dixie has them I believe by distributor Mckesson..if they are out they also carry the 54 411..so my script is due now and I will have to get the 54 411 but that's ok..but my next script I'm going to specify the Rhodes..for sure. I have had so much trouble with generic subs..its crazy..I live in port Charlotte Florida. If anyone else is in the area just check those 2 places out. I have spent 2 whole days on the phone calling every pharmacy in the area...I think we all need to keep pushing..I do know the Pharmacy's try to keep getting whatever they want and that's the cheapest at first some pharmacies only 2 now. They act like your drug seeking but most were very nice and helpful..so the number for Rhodes is 1-401-262-9400 they will lead you to a distributor only...the number is 1-888-827-0616. Now this lady just left a voicemail using this number and the message said charlene call customer service for current availability.. so I'm doing that Monday.

Re: Charlene (# 74) Expand Referenced Message

I have been on subs for 12 years and there is nothing comparable to the original subutex. The genetics are ok, some better than others Activis being the worse. I have been using the 54 411s for years and heard about the Rhodes being so good that I looked and called every pharmacy until I finally found a little pharmacy who ordered them for me and I have been on them now for the past two months. I haven’t found them to be any better than the 54 411s, in fact this is the last month I will be taking the Rhodes because I think the 54 411s might be better so I’m asking to pharmacy to fill my next prescription with them. So anyway this is my truthful opinion.Nothing is comparable to the original Subutex.

Jolleys compounding pharmacy in SLC is willing to order whatever brand you need and they get them within 24 hours. I prefer the Roxann brand over the hitec and they have been ordering that for me. I use the Jolleys in Sugarhouse

Re: Tim (# 75) Expand Referenced Message

Tim, thank you soo much for answering me..ever since I found about about Rhodes I've been going crazy trying to find them and for 2 weeks that all I could think about and its been consuming my life to where as my husband has been noticing....so I have been using the 54 411. Last month I also got them and on the bottle it said from westward.. so from my understanding 1st it was Roxanne/westwatd/Hikma...now last month my bottle said westward. Yesterday my bottle only said Hikma...since actavis is just about the only brand you can find here in southwest Florida my area is that one so I started my hunt and called a winn dixie/grocery store pharmacy. I called they said we carry Roxane and everyone is happy on these...well I knew what she meant because I know for a fact they may have the same imprint on them but they are not Roxane they are now Hikma...they should use that name when someone ask.. I found out that Hikma..only changed a few fillers/binders but basically the same...I also found out that bup.all of them have 8.64 bup. In them except the actavis only says 8mg.

I looked them all up goggle has a list of all 7 manufacturers listed to look at on the same page without having to jump to each manufacturer..so my moral of this is I actually was getting soo jealous about other comments ppl getting the Rhodes and ratings are great ..so of course my whole weekend mon-sun eve..that's all I did was searching and calling Pharmacy's..believe it some were very nice and gave me the info I was looking for..only 2 Pharmacy's were rude as if I were a 58yr. old drug seeking..but I just started my story with...my dr sent me home last Friday with some homework since some other manufacturers of buprenorphine has been making me I'll so I need to find a new manufacturer I can use.....it worked ...I did find one pharmacy called target it's a CVS pharmacy they carry the Rhodes put out by cardinal but they only had 4 bup. On the shelf said they were on backup order so o called the company they were confused so next day I called them again they said yes only 4 here. But I guess until some one comes in to accept the 4 and then hope it comes in they will TRY to order...humm..the 3 that distributions are cardinal, Mckesson and Amerisource.

Bergen....when I called Rhodes I could believe it but they all have your name address and phone.. well she actually called me and left a message to recall them and ask for customer ?? something and ask what Pharmacy's in your are can order them. Over here it seems the little mom & pop shop don't seem to special order and the big chain sore pharmacy's get let's say the cheapest bup..they can...which by me is actavis, orange, or sun...that is all that around here except 2 Pharmacy's that carry Hikma.......so I will have to just wait.....I'm definitely not going to obsess about over the weekend what a headache it was and stressful...thx for your answering me...it helps alot for you to write that they are close anyway.

Re: Tim (# 75) Expand Referenced Message

Hi tim, thanks for your reply.. its been driving me crazy.....I found this site under Google (btodrems.com) to be very useful even tho I almost consider myself to be an expert on buprenorphine since I've been on it starting in 2007... I had trouble for almost 9 months now. I felt I was detoxing or possibly have these subs stopped working? So I decided to quit using a pain management dr..he gave me 4 percent 10s x 4 daily. After 9 days of completely going down hill lost 13 lbs in that amount of time .my husband had to carry me into the drs office on a Monday morning before they opened. The dr looked at me then to my husband and said this is not working for now, she can hardly talk, eat or even hold her head up..I suggest we put her back on bup. for now. Maybe she can try again at a later time..so that's what happened..I have always been on q very high dose 2007 I was on 4 x8mg day...I got myself down to 3mg, then a new dr. told me (I only give 2 take it or leave it). Of course I took it so after that for 9 months I was in and out of w/d..so that's why I decided to detox...in the long run I decided to get a new doc..she is wayy younger than me. Actually my daughter's age 31..fresh out of college too..told her my situation she said right away yes, you have been detoxing. She put me on 3 and a half a day.

I've been better obviously...but since I started to search more, I'm finding out some take the bup. All at one time...no need to spread it through out the day. Because my last 2 doc..said it doesn't mater how or when you take it...so all on the a.m. is what is working..well I mentioned the site above that list all the manufacturer's of generic bup.....all of them state 8.64 bup. Equivalent to 8mg?? Humm., but anyways I see and knew of only 7 generics bup...but I noticed some mention (sandoz) ODK that one.....I see most are the same manufacturers other than roxane/westward now called Hikma...that's exactly what my new bottle says as of yesterday they definitely are 54 411..the pharmacist said they are Roxane when I called said everyone has been very happy with them..well first of all I used to get Roxane wayy back in the day. But they are not Roxane and not westward, but Hikma..now...a few fillers and binders have been changed slightly.... I'm glad you told me the truth about comparing the Rhodes to Hikma 54 411.. now I will not go absolutely crazy, with jealousy.....lol.. but ya, that's what I was feeling........thx again

Re: Goozer (# 10) Expand Referenced Message

JUST TO LET YOU KNOW IVE BEEN TAKING THE ROXANE BRAND FOR OVER 4 YEARS AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THEM BUT AFTER DOING THE HI-TECHs 8w/arrow on back there actually TOP BEST OVERALL, you have almost no FILLER TO LET DISSOLVE COMPARED TO ALL THE BIG ONES THEY ARE TINY SO THAT'S WHY MOST PPL WRITE THEM OFF BUT YOU GOT TO REMEMBER, THERE STILL 8MG JUST 90% LESS FILLER SO MORE POTENT.. HOPE THAT HELPS

Re: Charlene (# 78) Expand Referenced Message

Everyone is different, but I just do not understand the hype around the Rhodes brand. As I said I’ve been on bupe since the beginning when the only brand was Subutex and then came the generic Teva. I wish both of those were back because a forth of a tab would last all day. All of the generics that came later are awful, though some are a little better than others. 54-11’s being the best probably. Also, I’m on this for pain and am prescribed 45 monthly.
