Rheumatology Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication In Or Around San Antonio,tx

I have been suffering with Chronic Back pain for the last 16 years. I am diagnosed with DDD, Lumbalgia, Compressed disc at t-10/t-11, disc bulge at T12/L1,L3, L4, L5/S1 disc sacrilization or fusion, s1/s2 fusion on the left side only. I am planning on moving to San Antonio in the next year or two and i would like a list of Rheumatologists that are willing to prescribe me pain medication in addition to my arthritis medicines sent to me at my current email now; so i can start interviewing drs before i make the big move to San Antonio.

I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Additionally, if you start contacting doctors ahead of time, to ask them about prescribing medications, they are going to assume you're a drug seeker and most won't even let you get in the door for an appointment.

You'll actually need to set up an appointment with a new doctor, make sure they get a full copy of your medical records and then discuss your treatment options. Additionally, if the pain medications are for things unrelated to your arthritis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A rheumatologist won't be able to prescribe pain medications for other conditions.

Can anyone suggest a good doctor there?
