Resprim Forte (sulfamethoxazole Trimethoprim)

Hi there,

I am taking Resprim Forte 160mg/800mg for treatment of a couple of boils on my body. I already had 2 packs and when the boil started coming up again my doc advised me for another 2 packs (2 tabs a day). I noticed that it is affecting my libido. Is it a side effect of these tablets? Please help as my doctor is out on holidays for a few weeks.

Yes, most medications can cause that as a side effect. The other typical ones, as listed by the U.S. FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Thanks Verwon!! Just want know will this side effect be gone once I finish with my medication, as it is affecting my married life as well in terms of my libido... Or do I need to consult with my doc again to treat this problem??
