Replacement For Visine L.r. W/oxymetazoline.

Opcon A eye drops work well for a short time. I haven't found any eye drops to replace Visine L.R. that have the lasting effects. Help!

If you only need them occasionally, use what I use —although it's Rx Only (in practice, a local doc visits a local pharmacy and we buy it OTC or if we have Rx coverage, bring a script) —TOBRADEX (generic available: TOBRAMYCIN and DEXAMETHASONE. Not for daily use. Very effective and the generic is expensive; I use my RX coverage to pay for 3 x 5mL and noted that the retail would be close to $300, ad that;s for the Sandoz generic. Im not an ophthalmologist, but if you consult oe, Im sure you can find better x generic alternatives. Got be cheaper than generic TobraDex. My own ophthalmologist recommended this; she gave me the first script and then laughed: "Yu can write for anything I can, Joey." "Yes, but I don't — haven't noticed that you're writing for mood stabilizers (her office was in the same building as my condo and professional office. Ask your ophthalmologist (NOT YOUR OPTOMETRIST; they can dispense certain meds as part of testing and evaluation, but they're not MDs or DOs and I don't THINK they can prescribe anything, either/ TobraDex has saved my life doing editorial work under pressure, but I recognize that steroids (dexamethasone is Decahedron are almost NEVER indicated for daily use.)
