Reoccurring Abcess

I have an abscess in my jaw that I've taken antibiotics for twice already and it just keeps coming back. I haven't had the money to go get it pulled and this time it feels a little different like it's spreading maybe? My neck underneath where it is is very sensitive going down my neck almost like burning sensation?... What should I take? What kind of antibiotics?

Hello, Kikii! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having.

However, it is going to keep returning, regardless of what antibiotic you take and, if this continues, it could put your life in danger or cause an infection in your heart valves.

You really need to see a dentist and have the tooth removed, as soon as possible. Antibiotics are only a temporary fix and they do nothing to rectify the underlying problem that has caused the infection, such as a deep dental cary, as explained by the NIH.

Are there any low-income dental clinics in your area? Many of them work on a sliding fee scale, so if you have no insurance and not much of an income, they'd pull the tooth for free or for a very low fee.
