Relafen And Kidney Failure

I was on Vioxx for 4 years, it worked for my knees. Then they pulled it off the market. I was prescribed 1000 mg of Relafen. After a week or so I got severe stomach pain and ultimately went into kidney failure. Is this a common side effect?

It is listed as being a very rare possible side effect of Relafen, it has happened in less than 0.01% of people that have taken it, according to FDA reports.

Other side effects may include nausea, headache, stomach irritation, and liver damage.

Is that the only medication you were taking? Have they definitively attributed it to the medication?
