Regulated Cycle While On Eliquis
UpdatedI've been taking eliquis for a couple days now. I feel that my menstrual cycle is too heavy, it was already irregular how long should I expect this to last? I've been put on eliquis because of the birth control I was on I can no longer be on it, because it was causing blood clots the eliquis is a blood thinner for the blood clots how long should I expect this to go on?

That can be a normal side effect of this medication, according to NIH reports, and it may persist for the duration of the time you are taking it. It has been known to cause heavier bleeding in menstruating women, it may also cause headache, nausea, and easy bruising.
Are you on any other medications? How heavy is the bleeding?
Have you consulted your doctor? You may need to try a different medication.
What contraceptive were you taking?
