Red Flagged Question?
UpdatedHi, so here is what is going on. I was diagnosed with Myofascial pain disorder when I was 23, brought on by trauma from martial arts (they suspect) I have been taking 100 mg of tramadol per day for 8 years, so 2 tablets a day. The pain causes chronic insomnia and depression, so Recently I saw a psychiatrist who prescribed me zolpidem for sleep. My primary prescribes tramadol. I have never had any issues until this week. I submitted my tramadol to be called to doctor for approval. In 8 years, it's always approved within a day. It's been a week, and the pharmacy claims they haven't heard from the doctor. I am worried I've been red flagged since I didn't tell my primary I am taking zolpidem. Not to be shady, just didn't think to. I'm afraid to call the doctor. Help! Am I red flagged? Will the pharmacy tell me if I am? Thank you. P.s. I am not having withdrawal symptoms, my dose is not high enough.

Hello, Mason! How are you?
It's very doubtful, since the Zolpidem is not a controlled substance and isn't considered addictive. It's actually classified by the FDA as a sedative hypnotic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, sleep actions, hallucinations and next day hangover-like effects.
It is possible that your doctor is just busy and may have lost track of all the prescriptions they need to phone in. Have you tried calling them yourself?
I've found that I usually get a much faster response that way, than if I have the pharmacy contact them.
Update. You were 100 percent correct. The Doctor took a vacation out of the country. The Nurse was not able to fill it until he returned, the fill in doctor seemed tentative to do anything. The doc approved it when he returned. Thanks for the reply it was all in my head.
Very welcome! I'm glad you got it straightened out.
