I switched from taking Xarelto for the past 1.5 years to Eliquis. Been on two tabs/day for the past two weeks and this am woke up with two very red eyes.
Any body else have that happen? Not sure it's even from the Eliquis but it's a good guess for now.

Hi Carolann,

Did your eyes feel like they were really dry when you first woke up? Maybe this medication dehydrates you quicker than usual? I don't if that's the case, but if so, you may just have to drink more water on a regular basis to help counteract it. Would you describe it as the same type of "red eyes" one might get after indulging in cannabis?

What I find interesting when I look at the side effect profile, is that they list "red urine as well as red stool", but not "red eyes" Lol. However, if it seems to be too bothersome or severe I would still strongly recommend talking with your doctor about other alternatives.. because this does seem unusual.
