Hello, Chetan! How are you?
You should take it as long as your doctor instructs you to do so.
The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, flatulence, and stomach pain.
Long-term use, however, may increase your risk of hip fractures.
Is there anything else I can help with? Are you on any other medications?
