Rash From Levothyroxine

My dosage was just changed from 50mg. every other day 75mg every other day. My new dosage is 75mg everyday now. Since I started my dosage change I have been getting a rash every 2 or 3 days. It itch's very bad. Has anyone else had this problem?

You may be sensitive to the coloring used in 75mcg Levothyroxine, which is Tartrazine. Syntroid 50mcg has no coloring.

my dosage has been increased from 50 MCG to 75 MCG since this summer. I had the same problems with you.

The skin rash is listed as one of the less common, but more severe side effects requiring medical attention, so you should consult your doctor immediately.
