And others ...
The FDA has indeed been publishing numerous updates lately about Ranitidine products containing low levels of N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA). If you check out the following page you can see the most recent ones being recalled (as of November 22nd, 2019), and below it are a number of recalls listed from various manufacturers. If you were dispensed a specific brand even after the recalls then it is most likely okay, but then again it could have changed in a month. Here are the manufacturers that I found listed on their recall page (newest to oldest, this may not be a complete list):
- Golden State Medical Supply (11/22)
- Precision Dose Inc. (11/22)
- Amneal (11/12)
- American Health Packaging (11/12)
- Aurobindo (11/8)
- Perrigo Company PLC (10/28)
- Novitium Pharma LLC (10/28)
- Lannett Company, Inc (10/28)
- Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (10/23)
- Sanofi (10/23)
- Apotex Corp (9/26), labeled by Walgreens, Walmart, Rite-Aid
- Sandoz (9/24)
NDMA is classified as a probable human carcinogen (a substance that could cause cancer) based on results from laboratory tests. NDMA is a known environmental contaminant and found in water and foods, including meats, dairy products and vegetables.

There was a recall for the syrup manufactured by Actavis, but that is all I have found for this year, so far, according to the FDA recall list.
Have you experienced some problem with this medication?
The FDA warns that this medication may carry the risk of causing side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, and flatulence.
