While I was pregnant I was prescribed to take ranitidine for heartburn. After my child was born I took a urine test that came up negative. Cps sent these sample off and said I tested positive for meth. I submitted to a hair test on my child and a nail test on myself. The results were positive for meth. The Metabolites were very low in both of us but the amphetimine levels were high, but I had ephedrine during the c section. Will ranitidine cause a false positive in a hair test and where is the documented proof? They have taken my newborn away from me its five days now without touching or seeing her. I am desperate to get my baby back. If a doctor responds please be willing to submit documentation in writing. Thank you to anyone with the answer. ## This is terrible!!! And yes zantac does...

5 REPLIES UpdatedIs ranitidine still safe to take after the expiration/discard date? Mine is 10/10/12. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? Most medications, such as Ranitidine, don't get dangerous when expired, but they do begin to lose efficacy after that point. Thus, the older they are, the less they are going to work. Learn more Ranitidine details here. It would really be best to just dispose of the expired and purchase new. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## I was on omeprazole for about 2 and a half years, and on Rapeprazole for 10 years for acid reflux. 3 REPLIES UpdatedIs Ranitidine 15mg/ml (75mg/5ml) syrup manufactured by Silarx gluten free? I have celiac disease and am allergic to gluten, but can't find any information online about it. ## First off, every SINGLE person I've ever met who claimed to suffer from celiacs was full of crap. The ACTUAL incidence of this disease is so minute it's almost impossible to know two people organically who DO have it. Furthermore it's certainly so rare that there's no reason a store could make.enough money to offer an entire gluten free section. People need a hobby I guess. ## Maybe you should actually do some research on celiac disease. My 6 year old daughter was just diagnosed with BLOOD WORK and ENDOSCOPIC BIOPSIES by a medical doctor (not a keyboard doctor such as yourself). There is also a ...
