I'm barely able to write this. Pain meds not working last couple of days. One change is I want to use up some old pills made by Ranbaxy. Might be this be my problem? I googled around but am not finding anything on best generic Morphine Er.

Sorry to hear about your pain. This will probably sound like a silly question, but can you confirm that the old Ranbaxy pills were not expired? If they had worked well for you in the past but are not helping now, that would be my first guess. Also, may I ask what mg dose your tablets are, and what is the previous brand that gave you good results?
There are probably at least half a dozen manufactures for the extended release morphine generics. I expect most to be comparable to one another, but there are anecdotal stories of certain variances in the inactive (and even active) ingredients between generic manufacturers. And if you are on consistent pain management then is your doctor managing your doses well?
