I found out Lorazepam 1mg made by Ranbaxy is not sold any more. Is it available in mexico? And will it come back?

Hi Liza,

From what I've researched, generic Lorazepam by Ranbaxy is not listed as being available in Mexico. However I did stumble upon a couple brand names that are: Lozam and Sinestron. Perhaps either of those would make for a suitable alternative? I have not tried Lorazepam myself so this is only speculation.

Apparently the FDA has also had several restrictions placed on Ranbaxy's products (within the last year that are still in effect), preventing them from importing drugs from their overseas facilities into the US. Ranbaxy doesn't list contact information online either (if they do it's not easy to find), which could make getting ahold of them rather difficult in terms of finding out if or when their product(s) will ever return. So it may be that you'd just have to look into other manufacturers brands/generics if all else fails.

Does anyone else have information to add to this?
