Ramipril Changed

They changed my generic Ramipril to another with markings RDY 441. I was on generic Ramipril ( called Colbolt ) and it was working just fine for my high blood pressure. But this new generic brand does't help my blood pressure at all. I was told this could be a copy generic, what does that mean? Also the pharmacy told me that they can't get the Colbolt Ramipril anymore. Does anyone know what I am talking about ? Thank You

yes i know what you are talking about. my ramipril is from cobalt. and yes you can still get it from walmart. watch closely these parmacies because they lie to you.

RDY 441 does contain 10mgs of Ramipril, a generic for Altace.

The problem you may be experiencing is due to the fact that generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand in the active ingredient by as much as plus or minus 20%.

If this one contains a little less of the active ingredient than the other one, then yes, it may not work as well for you.

Have you tried consulting your doctor or perhaps checking with other pharmacies in your area to see if they may carry the other one?
