white horse looking pill (oval) wtth imprint of RX509 on one side and an indent line in the middle on both sides. will this work for a tooth abcess and is it an antibiotic?

Doses this meds take infections away from the gum cuased by a tooth aich

Information I was able to gather shows the pill in description to be Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium (875 mg-125 mg).

Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium is an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against lactamase producing Amoxicillin-resistant bacteria.
