Questions About Viibryd

i am on my 1st day of the 20 mg. tabs & am having terrible loose bowels 4 three hrs. in the a.m. will this stop?? does anyone know?? i also am wondering what 2 eat @ night as a light meal?? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated-i don't want to gain a ton of weight-of course!!

Yes, diarrhea is a possible side effect that some people may experience, when using this medication, it's listed as usually being mild to moderate in intensity.

You may want to talk to your doctor to see if there is something you can take that may help with it.

As to the negative experiences posted in the other threat, you have to remember 2 relevant factors. The first is that medications affect everyone differently, so you may not experience the same problems as everyone else.

And the second is that many people don't look for sites, such as ours, unless they are having a problem with a medication. Therefore, you will always find more posts from people that are having an issue with a medication, than you will from those having good experiences.

yes i had bad diarhea 4 a long time could not leave the house in the a.m. didn't get better!! called the co. bout the light snack get this: 2 pcs. of toast w. jam or jelly, bowl of cereal & a glass of juice, to me a lite snack would be just the bowl of cereal, but u can always do the high-fat meal-2 fried eggs, 2 pcs. bacon or sausage & the list goes on, do that 4 a couple of wks. you'll probably look like a blimp (lol) that's what the manu. suggests??

Yes you will get loose bowels but only for a while.
After I took it for a couple of weeks, this diminished significantly. I've taken about every antidepressant on the market and this is far and away the best with the fewest side effects. I've seen no weight gain and very little sexual side effect. I cannot say that for the others where I became impotent and had significant issues with weight. Overall, the loose bowels are an inconvenience, but it goes away and the reward is well worth it.
