Quaalude was one of the brand names for a medication containing the active ingredient Methaqualone, it is a very potent sedative hypnotic.
However, due to its extreme potential for abuse and addiction, as well as lack of actual medical benefits, it was removed from the market in the U.S. in 1982 and can no longer be legally obtained.
