Quality Control Of Drugs Mfr In India

My insurance company switched me to this generic pill (Alyacen 1/35) and I have not yet started taking it. I am somewhat concerned about it because I see that it is manufactured in India and I wonder what kind of quality control they have over drug manufacturing in that country. I know it was FDA approved, but how do I know it is safe?

HI, Donna!

Regardless of where they are manufactured, any medication that has been approved by the FDA and is available in the U.S. undergoes the same strict testing and quality assurance protocols as those that are manufactured here.

And this is actually manufactured by a fantastic and very reputable company, Glenmark Generics Inc., USA. I have taken several of their medications in the past and never had a problem with any of them.

If you're unsure, feel free to ask your pharmacist or contact the manufacturer, they'll be happy to answer any questions you have.
