The CVS wont fill in Encinitas anymore. CVS, Walgreens and Walmart have company restrictions. No more orders until this State of California decision is changed or further notice. Even Pharmaca will only sell the spotted Activis Watson-and Allen pharmacy in San Diego won't special order them. Any other thoughts? I'm 3 days without and no one will fill my new rx.

Hello, Sara! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.

On top of the shortage that had already been created due to the dosage changes that were made this year, which caused some companies to stop manufacturing this medication, we are also into the end of the year and there is almost always a shortage from October into early in the new year. This is due to mandatory manufacturing limits, once a company reaches that maximum amount of a controlled substance, they have to stop making it, until the new year.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

The best advice I can offer anyone is to speak to their doctors and see if they can try a different medication, in the meantime, until the situation rectifies itself.

Is there anything else I can help with?
