What is the difference between qualitest brand Hydrocodone/Acet 10/325 with a V on one side and 36 01 on the other side of this yellow pill, as opposed to Mallinckrodt white pill with the same strength? The Mallinckrodt pills give me lots of bad side effects and do not help my pain as well as the Qualitest ones do.

Having same trouble in Longview, Northeast TX finding theYELLOW HYDRO.!! And these WHITE Watsons are USELESS!! And NO it's not a psychological thing!!
I have the same problem can't find qualitest hydrocodone anywhere Arizona or California what's the problem where do they go
For all generic drugs, the FDA allows the percentage of the active ingredient, i.e., hydrocodone, to be 90% to 110% by law. This variation is in ALL drugs, not just narcotics. Each persons metabolism is different, and who knows what the inactive ingredients will do in your liver, to aid, or suppress the absorption of the Hydrocodone, or whatever the active ingredient is. Sorry that this information is not widely published, but feel free to check it out. Ask the pharmacy what the law says!
I wrote some time back regarding Klonopin 1.0 mg Brand. I have been experiencing the lack of results ever since the company stopped shipping the brand to the pharmacy and then started back again. Is any one else having the problem and does anyone know why they stopped shipping and if there was a formula change? Thank you.
I myself, have used Norco for a long time due to chronic back pain along w/Tramadol which doesn't work at all. Actavis is the mfg..I was using Qualitest which was great but these are not as effective and takes much longer to work. What can I do? Thanks
Hi! Don't know if you have a CVS pharmacy in Texas but here in Tennessee the CVS gives the yellow v/3601 hydro 10/325 . try to find a CVS near you and ask the pharmacist but I had a friend that lived in Florida and the CVS there also gave the yellow ones. Good luck!

Different manufacturers tablets often contain a different set of inactive ingredients as well, even if the medication itself is listed as being the same strength; (as this is only referring to the "active" ingredient).
Those white Mallinckrodt (M367) tablets reportedly contain the following set of "inactive" ingredients:
Crospovidone + Magnesium stearate + Microcrystalline cellulose + Povidone + Corn starch + Silicon dioxide + Stearic acid
And CVS lists these ingredients for the yellow Qualitest (V 36 01) brand:
Croscarmellose Sodium + Crospovidone + Silicon Dioxide (Colloidal) + D&C Yellow No. 10 + Microcrystalline Cellulose + Stearic Acid + Magnesium Stearate + Povidone + Pregelatinized Corn Starch
If the yellow Qualitest tablets work better for you, my theory is that one or more of the substances listed above that are in V 36 01 and NOT in M367, may be helping the body metabolize it better. Whether it's the Dye or the Pregelatinized corn starch I'm not sure, but there are no other apparent differences between these two tablets (at least that we know of).
I hope this helps!
I , same as many of the others , find that I'm getting real bad (almost migraine) headaches from the other manufacturer that Safeway switched to without any warning. I would like to know where I can get my prescription refilled in the Santa Rosa, California area with out having to change doctors .....Please help
Dear Qualitest Representatives: Since 2002, when I had a 3-level 360 back fusion I have been taking hydrocodone, and usually the 10/325's, first Watson's then Qualitest which work absolutely the best for my pain. Now the pharmacy has switched to Mallinckro 10/325 White w/367 on one side. These do not even compare to Qualitest brand and of course pharmacist says they all contain the same ingredients. If so then why am I not getting same relief. I have done blind test and have picked 100% which ones I have just taken over 10 different times when given by my sister without me seeing so I know it's not in my head. I have too much pain to be dealing with this so could you please tell me where I can find a pharmacy in Northeast Texas near New Boston, 75570 that I can get my script filled at. My e-mail is {edited for privacy}. thank you for your help!
I also got my yellow 10/325's switched to the Mallinckrodt white by RiteAid. I have severe chronic pain and the white ones don't have much effect. How do I find the yellow ones? Thanks
