Qualitest Generic Norco
UpdatedI take the Qualitest brand of Norco 7.5/325 and find it superior to Watson
Any others agree with this opinion, or have different thoughts?

I do not like Qualitest at all - it makes me feel like sleeping so I can't take it during the day. Watson NEVER did that to me - I can't find any pharmacies to fill my Rx with Watson any more. So bummed.
I think Watson has recently changed formula... I used to agree with you that Watson was superior, but within the last six months I've noticed a profound change it.
I haven't been able to buy Watson in quite a while but I believe you - I feel that every generic I have purchased does NOT work like Watson used to. I think they've changed the formula/strength without telling anyone, that way people have to buy more to get the same amount of relief. I know that some people's stomach acid does not metabolize the tablets very well so it passes through our systems without much relief (I apparently am one according to my doctor) so I really wish they'd bring the OLD formula back. Every generic I've tried in the last 2 years has been like taking a sleeping pill - so I can't take them in the day time. I have 2 friends who are pharmacists and they both said my complaints are more and more common. Extremely annoying.
Watson used to be good when they were yellow 10/325, but now they're white, and they suck. No, rephrase, they SUCK. Hey, you can get those Chinese watson's at any big Pharms..
Enjoy the 53% of hydro that is contained in that crap. If you keep buying that s***, it just makes it more f***ed up for the rest of us..
Post #3 mentioned something about people's stomach acid not being able to metabolize the new Watson (Actavis) tablets very well in certain cases. I get the sense that a different set of binders/fillers being used from one tablet or manufacturer to another is probably the main culprit to this change in bioavailability. Not to mention what Post #5 stated about the idea of less active ingredients potentially being used from the start. These two factors alone probably make the white Watson tablet seem like a completely different type of pain medication over the yellow one, arguably comparable to NSAID's based on some of the feedback I've seen.
Hard to say if they'll ever bring the old formula back, but my feelings are that it probably won't happen anytime soon. It might be best to just ask your doctor about other pain killers (like oxycodone, morphine, methadone, opana, dilaudid, etc) if you don't want to chance getting one of these.
Posters,
I do not do pill posts but thought I'd tell you FDA allows generics to be up to 47% less opioid and with the new FDA 120 mg. morphine equivalent I'd not even think unless you have real pain to be able to obtain any medications without real need.
Therefore, WATSON or brand will always be strongest.
David, that's exactly what I had to do, as I just wasn't getting the relief that I was previously getting with the hydro's, so my doc put me on Oxycodone, and it made a huge difference. I was becoming frustrated, and I knew it wasn't a tolerance issue, or just in my head, then I saw that many others were having the same issue.
I did too James, and then the pharmacy that had carried them switched to another brand, and they just weren't the same.
You can get them at Walgreens.
I was just at walgreens and they dont carry the qualitest...I cant seem to find them anywhere
Re: rustyfox (# 1)
Same here, Watson worked on my pain. Now unable to purchase Watson. Where can I get it?
