Qsymia Not Working After Brain Tumor Removal

I was on qsymia, it worked great. I lost 45lbs. I had a tumor that was noncancerous and started back taking it because I gained some weight from the steroids. However the qsymia stopped working. What else can I take or do to jump-start my weight loss?

Hello, Tracy! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

While medical science has made great strides recently, and our knowledge of the workings of the human body is always growing, unfortunately, we don't, and maybe will never, know everything. That said, any type of brain surgery is iffy, when it comes to the possible effects it might have on someone, there's just no way to know the precise outcome with any real certainty.

My sister had a benign tumor that was causing seizures, things went great for her, she was home within a few days, and hasn't had any problems, since, but I know someone else who had surgery done for a similar reason, and her entire personality changed, she became sullen, angry, and rude, afterwards. It's just hard to guess how our bodies will react to any such changes.

There is also a chance that, as more time passes, Qsymia might start working for you, again. Its typical side effects may include nausea, mood changes, anorexia, stuffy nose, and insomnia.

What type of diet and exercise routine are you using? Has your doctor shared any ideas with you to aid in weight loss?
