Qsymia And Prozac

Hi all. I am about to start low dose Qsymia but also take Prozac, been on for years. Anyone on both medications and any side effects or concerns?

Yes, there is a warning about combining them, according to the FDA, taking both has been known to cause Serotonin Syndrome, a potentially fatal condition. If you have been instructed to take them both, your doctor should be monitoring you frequently, and you should know to watch for any possible symptoms of it, such as confusion, twitching muscles, heavy sweating, diarrhea, muscle rigidity, high fever, and seizures. If you experience any of them, you must seek immediate medical attention.

Are they both being prescribed by the same doctor?
