Purbac Side Effects Question

Updated

Hi I am on Purbac double strength, taking one tablet a day for six months. Is this medication bad and will I have negative long term effects after taking this for this six month time period? I am taking it to improve my skin acne.

Recently I had a Pneumavac inoculation and was so sick for days and had a very bad reaction to this vaccine whilst on Purbac. Was this caused from being on this Purbac at the same time as having the vaccine?

Purbac is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections, it contains Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim, antibiotics are often used to help treat some forms of acne. The typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.

What type of reaction did you have to the vaccine? What symptoms did you experience?

I had terrible pain in joints, uncontrollable shaking and feeling cold at times. I also had vomiting, headaches and general body pain.
