Hello Moeyy,

First I would like to say that I am not a medical professional.

Each purbac tablet contains the active ingredients Trimethoprim 80 mg and Sulphamethoxazole 400mg. Both of these medications are used to fight bacterial infections, so unless your pimples are caused by some sort of bacterial infection it is not likely that this medication will have any effect.

To answer your follow up question, the manufacturer's website gives the following administration instructions.

[1] Prubac Adult Tablets

Children 6-12 years:

One Purbac Adult tablet every 12 hours after meals.

Adults and Children over 12 Years:

The usual dose is two Purbac Adult Tablets or one Purbac D.S. tablet every 12 hours after meals. The maximum dose (for particularly severe cases) is three Purbac Adult tablets or one and a half Purbac D.S. tablets every 12 hours. The minimum dosage for long-term treatment (longer than 14 days) is one Purbac Adult or a half Purbac D.S. tablet every 12 hours.

I would like to also state that you should follow the administration instructions given by your doctor because he/she will be in the best position to advise you on what your body and situation needs.

I hope this information helps.
