Pulmison 20mg Medication

Dr prescribe Betaclav 1000mg twice a day and Pulmison 20mg twice a day for chest problems I am 76yrs After one hour I could hardly speak I went to bed for 3 hours and was ok. Is it wise to take the tablets twice a day?
