Walgreens doesn't have Comtrex anymore. Has it been discontinued? If not, where can I get it? ## Yes, Comtrex is still available, however, since it contains Pseudoephedrine, along with Acetaminophen and Chlorpheniramine as the active ingredients, it is now kept behind the pharmacy counter. You'll have to go to the pharmacy and ask for it, which means presenting an ID and signing for the purchase. [1] Pseudoephedrine Drug Information: MedlinePlus [2] Acetaminophen Drug Information: MedlinePlus [3] Chlorpheniramine Drug Information: MedlinePlus I hope this helps! ## You cannot find this behind pharmacy counters any more - I bought some while in Erie, PA for the hollidays at Giant Eagle. Amazon also carries the drug but at a very expensive price. ## Can you still find Comtrex col...
7 REPLIES UpdatedIs there a difference between the compositions of Solvin Tablet vs Solvin COLD Tablet ? If so please discuss. Thks. ## As far as I can tell there is a difference between "Solvin" and "Solvin Cold AF" tablets. Solvin is a cough and cold preparation containing the active ingredients Bromhexine + Pseudoephedrine. This is a mucolytic & decongestant combination used in the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid or excessive mucus. You can learn more about each drug on the page for Bromhexine Details and Pseudoephedrine Details Solvin Cold AF contains slightly different ingredients (Phenylephrine + Chlorpheniramine maleate), but is still used for the same purposes; primarily nasal congestion. I hope this helps! ## I am suffering from cough, running nose,...

2 REPLIES UpdatedI want to know the differnce between Stahist and Respa AR. I have taken Respa AR and have had excellent results. The pharmacy was out of Respa and gave me Stahist. (per the doctor of course). What is the difference? They both have the drying agent (which is very good) but they are differnt drugs. Are there different side-effects? ## Stahist contains Pseudoephedrine and Chlorcyclizine. Respa AR contains Pseduoephedrine and Chlorpheniramine. They both can be used to treat the same issues, and have very similar side effect profiles, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, nervousness, and stomach pain. Ref: Pseudoephedrine Information, Chlorcyclizine Information, and Chlorpheniramine Information. Did the Stahist help you, at all?
1 REPLY UpdatedWhat's the name and what's it used for? ## Hi Chetniks, Just out of curiosity, what shape is this pill you're describing? So far, the closest match I've seen is a round white pill imprinted with L434 on one side and scored on the back. [Pseudoephedrine 60mg + Triprolidine 2.5mg]. I've also seen an oblong white pill imprinted with L484 - albeit the 8 could probably be mistaken for a 3 depending on the condition of the pill. [Acetaminophen 500mg] Lastly, I've also come across an oblong white pill imprinted with 44 334. [Acetaminophen 250 mg + Aspirin 250 mg + Caffeine 65 mg] Do any of these sound like a remote possibility? ## White oblong pill with 4434 on one side and blank on the other. What is this? ## oval white pill with 4434 number on one side clear on other ...
4 REPLIES UpdatedI was prescribed a Z-Pak (Azithromycin, 250 mg) and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (60 mg) on a cruise and now my insurance company wants the American equivalent drug numbers for them. ## I think you are talking about the NDC number. It is a seven digit number - and the easiest is to do a search on internet of the medication and dosage - ie: Zithromycin 250 mgm and you should get all sorts of results. ## Yes, if they want the National Drug Code number for them, it is going to vary depending on the manufacturer, dosage, and etc. You can learn more about NDC numbers here from the FDA, and access a directory. Can you provide any further details on the medications you were prescribed, such as markings on them? Manufacturers names, or etc.? The FDA lists the typical side effects of these med...

I think a generic form of the SUDAFED 12 Hours Release tablets ## Are there any left hopefully discounted I have sinusitis thank you ## Hello Malongo, You are correct. According to the National Institute of Health L054 is the generic imprint used to mark 12 hour nasal decongestant pills and the one you have could be any one of the dozens of companies that use this imprint. Thanks for putting the info out there. If you want info on your specific pill just let me know the brand and I can look up all the information regarding that specific pill for you. Have a great day.
2 REPLIES UpdatedI have a long, white, oval shaped pill with the imprint 204 on one side and smooth and blank on the other side, not scored. Any idea of what it can be? ## I found 2 pills, on one side it has the imprint IP204. The other side is blank. I was told that they are percocet 15 mg. Do they have such a thing like that? ## A tablet with just a 204 on one side is manufactured by Ohm Laboratories and they state that it contains 120mgs of Pseudoephedrine, which is most commonly used to treat cold symptoms. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, nervousness, and anorexia. Dog, there is no Percocet available on the U.S. market that contains 15mgs of Oxycodone, the maximum available contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Ace...
3 REPLIES UpdatedCan i take that many mg? ## It depends on what you are using it for, and the safety would depend on other pre-existing medical conditions as well as other drugs you may be taking for any other conditions. Ask your pharmacist to check for any possible interactions and if you have questions, you could always consult with the prescriber. I am taking a cold medicine at the moment that contains 120 mg of psuedoephedrine, I take it every 4 hours and have had no adverse reactions. Hope this helps some. ## Is that the dosage of the given pill? It really depends on what your doctor thinks is safe for you, and what condition is being treated, as well as other conditions like Cheryl advised. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache nervousness, heada...

1 REPLY UpdatedI have taken pseudoephedrine daily for the last week. I have to take a drug test the day after tomorrow. It's a urinalysis. How likely is it that I will have a false positive for meth? How long does pseudoephedrine stay in your body? ## Hi Ractu, While it is true that Pseudoephedrine may be detected as amphetamines (speed), the likely-hood is largely dependent upon the quality of the drug test. A lot of these standardized drug tests have a fairly high false-positive response, where it seems as though anything is likely to show up no matter what you took. To my knowledge, false positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time. If you're in need of any statements claiming that this drug can in-fact cause a false positive for meth, I'd recommend referring...
9 REPLIES UpdatedIs Fedac syrup safe for babies? There are arguments re the medication because of a baby vomitting after being fed with it. The child's father was told by another doctor that Fedac should be given to children 2 years and above. ## I am not sure which syrup you are referring to, since there are two, however, that is correct from the information listed, none are listed with dosaged for us in children under 2 years of age. Fedac syrup contains Pseudoephedrine, Tripolidine and there is one that also includes Codeine, which is a narcotic. There is concern over adults using Pseudoephedrine and Codeine, so they are generally not recommended in children. Have you spoken to your doctors about your concerns? ## May I know the correct Fedac syrup dosage for 14 months old
2 REPLIES UpdatedIf I tested positive for methamphetamine because of claritin d (and now that sample is sent to be retested at the lab), can they tell it was a false positive? ## Claritin D has ephedrine in it. Just simply explain that you took claritin D. It's not technically a false positive because it contains a key component. ## J, I'm not 100% sure but I believe that Clariton D has pseudoephedrine HCL in it which would show up as you using Meth. I've had the same problem with an OTC sinus medication that I take coming back as being positive for Meth. I paid for a confirmation test($32) which came back as being negative for Meth. I hope this helps. ## My dad has been with the same company for 28 years and they switched owners. Well they did a drug test for everyone and my dad doesn't...
9 REPLIES Updatedi was wondering if the pill marked with gg 296 contains pseudoephedrine or not some medications with the marks gg do contain and i want to make sure ## No, it does not. This tablet is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 10mgs of Loratadine, which is an antihistamine, it's a generic or store brand of Claritin, which is available over the counter. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How many pills are recommended to take at once for when you first feel the symptoms of seasonal allergies
2 REPLIES UpdatedI found 3 small white round pills with the imprint of (i think NL 503) and on the other side of the pill is blank in my son's room. i have tried to look it up on google with no answers. Please help ## Possibly a discontinued Actifed antihistamine/decongestant containing pseudoephedrine and tripolidine. I had an old bottle that also contained pills imprinted with TCL 090 with the same ingredients. I was given Actifed by a relative in about 1971 (age 9) instead of a pain pill when a firecracker blew up in my hand. I had small blood blisters and remember a slight euphoria with just one pill.
1 REPLY Updatedwhite round 8.5mm ## Sudomyl contains the active ingredient Pseudoephedrine, commonly used as a decongestant. Common side effects may include: nausea, insomnia, nervousness and anxiety. You can read more about this medication here: Did you have any other questions? ## Does anyone know about Sudomyl's current availability? I have had this before and find it to be really good. ## All I would like to know is , Is there a substitute pill out there that I can use. Its only because I am totally against the drug 'P' and I'm worried that it could become a problem .

3 REPLIES Updatedround, red, small, coated pill with the number 251 on one side, other side is blank ## This tablet contains 30mgs of Pseudoephedrine, a generic for Sudafed. This is a decongestant. ## I did a search on iPhone program and it said this is Nortriptyline, 35 mg. ## Thank you for all the help but we have neither of those meds in our house. I am wondering if it is something called Uricalm, which is a pill for bladder and urinary tract pain, and it is more a reddish orange than true red. It is a bit new on the market and sold at Walmart, also they are changing to a different dosage so maybe this pill wasn't around long enough to be identified. I will keep looking and double check the numbers on the pill. ## I receivd an Email asking if this was resolvèd for me. It was not so i threw t...
4 REPLIES UpdatedI've been taking Fedac daily to fall asleep as I have difficulties sleeping. I have been taking it for months. Should I be worried for any side effects? ## Hello, Arpeggi! How are you? Yes, this medication is listed as containing Pseudoephedrine and Triprolidine and long-term use of the Pseudoephedrine can be dangerous, it can cause elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. It's amazing that it helps you sleep as it usually tends to cause insomnia in most people. Have you consulted a doctor to see what you can safely take to help with your insomnia? ## Many thanks for the reply, I have not spoke to a doctor about it yet. Maybe I should. I've tried to be less dependent on it, but to...
