Prozac And Itching

I was removed from an antidepressant coctail 5 years ago and put on Prozac. It works for depression, but I have developed a horrible itching problem which I wonder if may be related to this drug. I have had diagnostics for everything. No rash. Just an increasing inability to tolerate any irritation to skin surface without literally months of horrible itching. I am being tortured to death. Any suggestions/help?

How long has the itching been occurring?

Do you take any other medications?

Have you consulted a dermatologist?

Itching can occur with Prozac, but it usually happens immediately, not after you've been on it for awhile.

I have been to every kind of physician. None can figure this out. I itch 24-7. Carry around ice bags and bottles continually. It is getting worse, although the Prozac doseage has remained constant.

I also take thyroid replacement and medication for tremor. My neurologist also put me on gabapentin and aleve. This has been going on for 5 years.
