Prozac 20 Mg Xanax 0.25 Mg

I am on the 14th day of prozac 20 mg. Have Major panic attacks, anixety attacks and of course depression. I use to be on zoloft 50 mg and even up to 100 mg but stopped working for me. I have tried herbal remedies and end result was digging myself deeper with my panics. So I started to take xanax 0.25 mg 3 or 4 times a day so I can function and go to work. However I really dont want to use xanax this much. I really hope prozac will work soon. Like I said 14th days and had few good moments but still feel the anixety and panic if I dont take xanax. Is it going to get better ever? If or when is prozac kicks in? When it does will be easier to tapper off xanax?

When I first started Prozac for perimenopause symptoms and any time we adjusted the dosage, I found that it took about 3 weeks for those symptoms to stop and to start feeling better, so you're most likely almost out of the woods.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

As to the Xanax, you'll likely stop needing it so much, but please be careful not to stop it cold turkey, because that can create the risk of seizures.

The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Aww thank you for your respond. My biggest fear is when I dont take xanax with in 5 hrs from last doze, i start to get shakes. My hand specially. So i am not sure if it is from prozac that my anixety so sever as i am still in the beginning of the treatment. I also move my feet much more its like a nervous energy. I keep reading that it takes 4 weeks to start to feel much better. I am also scared in case this meds doesnt work to start over on another. This condition is disabling me to have a career. I had to take jobs from my collage years and give up my career cause i couldnt function anymore. So i really need this. Thanks for all your help.
