I have recently been given a generic brand of provigil that is football shaped and has 200 MG on one side and APO on the other. The label has APTX2 as the manufacturer. I have been taking modafinil for quite a few years for chronic fatigue and hyposomnia. This brand is not even close to being worth taking. I'm curious why every pharmaceutical company does not have to sell medications that are up to par with the others? It makes me upset when you depend on meds to help you. And out of the blue you get a generic drug that's like taking a sugar pill. It makes such a big difference in your daily routine of things. I just don't understand how this is legal? It's definitely not fair at all. Then if you complain about it the pharmacist acts like you're insane. Why cant they just make every drug the exact same if it's gonna have the same name?
You can see the page on Provigil for more information about this medicine...
I personally tried this drug and I feel no doping effect after taking it. On the contrary, I felt energized and more focused. This is in contradiction with the World Anti-Doping Agency which prohibits the use of Modafinil. Actually, FDA approved the use and intake of Modafinil as a drug that enhances wakefulness, mental energy and focus.

Totally agree. I've experienced this with generic Adderall, generic Ambien, and now generic Provigil. Going to the pharmacy is now like going to a drug dealer where you never know what you're gonna get, and if you get something that doesn't do it's job, you're told (falsely) that "generics are all the same, and they are all no different from brand name" the way you'd be told "that's real pot, it just smells like oregano!" Lately big chain pharmacies won't even be able to order the brand name drug from their wholesalers for those of us lucky enough to be able to afford them. The FDA couldn't care less, and how convenient it is that there aren't affordable ways for a consumer to obtain testing for exactly what's in a faulty generic!
