what is the difference between the 2 medicines besides the doaseage and the Nuvigil is cheaper

Provigil contains the active ingredient Modafanil and Nuvigil contains the active ingredient Armodafanil.

They are in the same drug class and treat the same things.

The only difference is the needed dosage of each and the fact that sometimes one medication works better than another for different people.

For instance, I have a severe problem using Metoprolol to treat my high blood pressure, I get a ton of bad side effects from it, however, I have no problems at all using Carvedilol, even though they are in the same medication class and do the same thing. It's just how it works.

Which one has your doctor recommended?
