Provera And Althea

Hello there,

I am 26 years old and I am not sexually active. My menstruation was always irregular. It was either delayed for 2-3 months or when i have my period it usually lasts for 7-8 days and i am a heavy bleeder. However it became normal for the last four years after I had taken pills for 6 months long in the past. Just recently, my period got delayed again for 2 months (may and june 2018). I had my period from april 1st-8th. So i went to see my ob again and she gave me provera 10mg for 10 days and instructed me to take Althea pills once my period started. However, right when i got home from my medical appointment, I discovered that i got my period without even starting provera. So, because of bleeding i just took one of my althea pills that night. But on the next day, MY PERIOD STOPS! So i’m worried now. Should i still continue my pills or start with provera although i have taken 1 pill?

PS: my doctor cant perform a transvaginal ultrasound because I am not sexually active. I am still intact. So yeah!

I am prescribed to take provera for 10 days and then althea when I have my period. After a cycle of althea do I just go back to provera and the althea again?
