Protonix - Is 10 Years Too Long?

Hi, I'm Curious About Protonix. Ive Been On It For 10 Years Now... Was on it to heal an ulcer in my stomach. I've continued to take them after the 8 week course because it got rid of my very severe heartburn. Is this safe? I only take one early each morning - I NEVER have any heartburn or affects, so I think...any ideas?

Have you consulted your doctor?

These have only been studied for short-term use, from 8 to 16 weeks, to treat or prevent condition such as ulcers, heartburn, GERD and gastritis. There have been no studies done to evaluate their long-term effects, if any.
