Can you take promethazine syrup (plain) and guaifenesin expectorant together to clear chest congestion?

I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them, but it is always best to double check.

The FDA warns that taking them together may cause increased nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and drowsiness.

Are you on any other medications?
