Prolonged Side Effects From Allergic Reaction To Flagyl
UpdatedI went to the ER and was treated for an allericic reaction to flagyl. I had a rash, shortness of breath, severe heartburn and stomach cramps. How long do these symptoms last after being treated in a local ER?

What type of treatment did the ER provide?
It can take a week or two, for all of the symptoms to clear up, depending on how much you had taken, how long you took it and etc., according to the NIH.
Such reactions usually get worse, with repeated exposure, though, so it would likely be best to avoid taking this medication in the future.
