Prolia Side Effects (Page 96)

I would like to know of any side effects others may have experienced after receiving Prolia infusions. Up to now I have none.
We are two different people, I have been here for while just started seeing Sher recently
Are Sher and Sheri two different people or the same person? I'm getting confused. There is a legal suit but and it's a big but, you have to have ONJ, or the broken thigh bone or very large hospital bills. It doesn't give the name of the firm or firms involved just lawyers and settlements. It is a lot like reporting to the FDA. You tell them your problems with Prolia and if they like what you wrote you are accepted by only God knows whom and if not they will send you an email. There is also a guy in NC with the last name of Lamb. I have no idea what his requirements are or if he is even still accepting victims.
No Pood, I guess I wasn't clear in my post I am going today to thyroid Dr and asking her to check my calcium and Magnesium levels, I asked is there anything else I should check. Then I was just saying how my ears were in such pain on landing in plane and they wouldn't clear for days, something I have never experienced before all Bone Density drugs. Thank you so much for your caring about me as I do you. Love , Sheri
Sheri~which immunoglobbin was off? I cannot believe ALL of them were low or how low is low is another question! That would indicate you have many autoimmune diseases that are not cured with a dose. Actually, if iGa is low, it would kill you if that had any A in it. I'm very confused by your post. I'm very glad someone checked them because they should be checked when a person is on Prolia. Different ones cause different problems. Did you get a copy of the report? You should have. Please tell me exactly what your test showed. I'm getting worried here!! If Igg were the one that's low and causing problems it can be added to the human body without problems. IgA cannot. This is biology 101A. Worried~Pood
Oh no Judy! Had you been on this site before you got the injection? Please keep us all posted. I hope you let your doctor know and I hope you insist to him that he reports all of your side effects to both amgen and the FDA. so sorry.
Took my first shot one week ago. Feel like I've been poisoned. Will not take another.
Tomorrow going to Thyroid Dr for check up and ask her to check calcium and magnesium levels anything else? My husband and I took a trip and have not gone on plane since doing all bone density meds, so for more than 2 yrs. First time ever my ears pained me so much I was crying on plane, then for whole day my head was in a tunnel , I am blaming the meds for that too. I hate this that we all tried to do the right thing and it has destroyed our life. TY for all of you to keep me from jumping off a cliff ??
Carolyn, Prolia has stolen a lot of life from you. I sincerely hope you can enjoy the trip and have some fun for a change. You deserve a life! It generally takes years for RA to really hurt that badly. It basically makes the body stiff if one stays in the same position too long. My poor brother has both RA & OA. I have just OA. Pred is a wonder drug and at the same time a very wicked drug. Prolia does cause auto-immune diseases. It did in me and a couple of other people here and one in Australia. I guess I was lucky. When the Prolia went 'poof' so did the Celiac Disease. I say it's GONE and my stupid Dr. says it's in remission. How can something caused by Prolia be only in remission????? Go have fun the best you can and come back and tell us all about it. Be well~Pood
C Louise, It is one that you had already posted on having to do with health. I had posted previously last summer that it gave me Celiac Disease. Doesn't seem like many look there. You, me, a lady named Judy and another person. I just directed all of them here where we get into the nitty gritty of Prolia. It has my real name but I tell them who I am here. Any recollections now? Pood

..praying fir good news on bone density test.
I saw the Rheumatologist On Thursday. He ran a whole lot more tests than just a SED. He did a DNA and a test for inflammation and several others. I told him about the Prolia. He actually said that he has seen this before with the Prolia. I should have the test results back midweek. In the meantime he put me back on the steroid. It has already helped a lot. Yes I know how bad it is for my bones. I supplement with calcium, D3 and K2 also zinc and magnesium. I exercise when I'm able to mostly weight-bearing and walking.
We are Leaving the End of May for an extended vacation which will be very strenuous. I'm getting too old to have to miss the good stuff because of my health. Because of Prolia.
I'll keep you posted when I get the results all my tests. Having a bone density test on April 27th. Kind of worried about that one
I have always appreciated your moral support and your advice. Thanks Pood
Does anyone know how to get results of the Dollars for Docs that show payments After December 2014? Also, hi Pood. Wondering which other site you went to in order to see comments. I would like to read yours on that site as well. Thanks for any info.
How bout a class action lawsuit
How bout this. I hv had low immunoglobulins and hv been sick w respiratory infections on and off (1 week off then sick again)I also have anemia. The dr today said I bet your right I bet it's the prolia affecting your immune system. They were going to give me gamma globulin.
My shoulder that got injected I cannot blame on Prolia. It has arthritis in it and little pieces of bone floating around in there. My elbow doesn't work too well either. It is my mastectomy arm and I take good care of it. Our acupuncturist isn't very good at all. The previous one we had was excellent but he could not make any money here. I'll do the dry needling which in a way is a lot like acupuncture, just not based on chi, but on scientific trigger points. Good luck on a Rheumatologist. They are the worlds worst for using biologic drugs. Don't believe a word they say unless it is to only know which type of arthritis one my have. Any Dr. can do that blood test. It's just sent to the lab for the SED rate. Sorry to put it in caps. My Mac likes to autocorrect so it wanted to make it see rate. Then if you have RA, they'll want to Rx a biologic 100 times worse than Prolia for it and if it's Psoriatic, they have another worse biologic for that, Hopefully, if you have arthritis, it is just OA that destroys the cartilage in between the joints. That's why I'm always getting replacements. That's managed with just a pill that cause no great harm. Let us know~Pood
Skittie~it definitely depends on the brand - organic works but regular normal brands are like a glass of OJ. Pood
Hello all, it's been 14 months since my last injection. I was taking prednisone until late December . I tried several times to get off of it and each time the symptoms returned. I had crippling stiffness and pain. Also a red raised rash and blisters .
This time I thought it was finally gone. No symptoms for 3 months. It began again in mid March. Dr gave me a steroid shot and a prednisone prescription. Fixed me right up until they wore off. I'm seeing a Rheumatologist today. I think that the Prolia has messed up my immune system so badly that I probably have RA. I am just waiting to have it confirmed. RA is incurable auto immune disorder.
I too live in Michigan. I have done the FDA, Amgen, Stabenow, and everything else
Like you, no response and no help.
Thank you Poodle. Which of the "other sites" did you go to and what is your name on that one? I will go there and read your posts. So glad you understand. Thank you again.
Thanks Skittles - glad you didn't take. With your existing conditions could have really caused some trouble I fear.
Pood you are strong to keep going to that doc and sit in the same room and not strangle her! I hope canadian is ok, is there a way to contact her? Your grandfather has a good idea. unfortunately with all my conditions now I have to go to them to stay alive. ugh.
