Would like to know if anyone had side effects from Prolia but they went away - and how long did it take for that to happen?

I am taking hair skin and nails vitamins. A friend had chemo many years ago. At the clinic where she received the chemo, she was also given an IV infused with vitamins. This happened during each chemo infusion. She never lost her hair or suffered other chemo side effects. While chemo is not the same thing as Prolia, I am harboring a slim hope that the vitamins might help stave off some hair loss.
Has anyone on dialysis experienced side effects from Prolia? Strange thing is you 're not supposed to drink water if on dialysis, but you should, if taking Prolia.
Re: Nikki (# 233)
Hi Nikki. Thank you for your answer. Where can I find the article from Amgen. please let Know.
Re: Poodle (# 232)
I know someone in Chile who was prescribed this drug. Also a woman in Italy, one in France and another one in Australia who are being Prolia-poisoned. You are right Poodle. This (evidence that this drug is highly dangerous) is not stopping Amgen, nor the MD’s from selling it to more and more women around the world...
Re: Giralda (# 216)
I thought on the Amgen site it said no for those on dialysis, but go back and check to make sure I remembered correctly. Your doctor should be able to give you a definitive answer. Make those buggers work for their money. *smile*
Re: Marion (# 206)
There is a lot of money to be made on Prolia. It is now in about every country in the world. I don't think a lot of them have 'drug approval' in their respective governments. I know for 100% sure the US and the UK does. Even now in Colombia one can go to the pharmacy and buy anything you want except Benzo's. They have to have an official Rx. What are those poor women doing with this new wonder drug that wasn't? Be well~
Re: Vickie (# 221)
Continuing or discontinuing? There are others on the market if you can take them. Be well~
Re: Gloria (# 217)
So did I. I ordered it yesterday. Hope it works!! Thanks all for giving an old dog a new trick. Be well~
Re: Gloria (# 217)
Your Dr. should have referred you to an Immunologist. They understand how Prolia diminishes out ability to fight off anything and they are the ones that will give you the most help to get you thru this horrid journey. Be well~
Re: Lizzie (# 207)
I am years past my one and only Prolia injection and my hair is still falling out like a dog sheds but every day of my life since Prolia. The only thing we can do is to go to a Dermatologist and have our head examined and they can determine if we are capable or not of growing new hair. I am a case of not. One of these days I will have to buy a wig for my own vanity. Who wants to look at a bald woman? We well accept it in men but not women. Yes, as we get older some hair thins. My mother still had pretty good hair at 98 when she passed. Be well~
Re: Lizzie (# 226)
That is the first time of Amgen even thinking about something bad in their injections of Prolia. Maybe we are gaining ground. One can always hope! Thank you for that post. It's not just one injection causing these problems. It's about 1 out of 4 that have very serious side effects that Amgen has not bothered to list. Be well~
Re: Marion (# 206)
I contacted Amgen to report the hair loss problem and the weird incontinence issue. Essentially, that is all it is -- a reporting. The Amgen contact took all of the info, including my doctor's info so they could get the numbers (?) associated with that specific shot. I don't expect to get any feedback, but I do feel that the information is logged somewhere...
Re: Meme (# 222)
I am discontinuing the Prolia and I am staying on the hemp cbd oil
Re: Diamend (# 204)
That is true and you have a good dentist. There is too big of a chance of you getting bad infections in your mouth and getting osteocronosis of the jaw if you have dental work done. It's best to wait over a year past the 6th month ending of your last injection of Prolia. If it is a true emergency, your dentist will send you to a specialist that is more able to help you if those things were to happen. They are Maxofacial something or others meaning if you were in an accident and your jaw was broken in many pieces they would be the ones wiring it all back together for you. Many dentists do not like to pull teeth either and they do that too under sedation. I think this will help explain to you where your dentist is coming from. I'm having total knee replacement in about a month and my surgeon is ordering my dentist to fix everything NOW because there will be no dentistry done on me for 6 months after surgery. He also has to certify that I don't have any infections or diseases in my mouth. Be well~
Re: Genevieve (# 219)
A definite yes to that because Prolia diminishes our T-cells and T-cell helpers which keep our bodies free from bacterial infections, viral infections and cancer too because our immune system catches all of them before they have a chance to grow. Only when our immune system is not working properly is when we all get infections and everything else under the sun. You are lucky to just have that one issue. Most people are much worse off than that with Prolia. Be well~
Re: Vickie (# 221)
You are going to continue?? Or did I read it wrong
I had side affects with the prolia. After my third shot I had joint pain and after the fourth shot in december 2017 I hurt from head to toe, all my joints, muscles and bones I am continuing with the prolia and my doctor agrees.
Re: Marion (# 214)
I know Medicare changed some rules this year for PT but they will still pay for it after the 5 times IF you have met your deductible and have co-insurance and it's ordered by a Dr. and they ALL seem to LOVE PT. I'm having a lot of PT right now and it's way more than 5 times and Medicare is paying for it. I wonder if that oil really works. I have seen it advertised but I never thought there was enough of the real product to be of any use in the oil. That has been told to me by my friends that want it legalized so there could be some bias in their thinking. I may try it and see what happens. Cannot hurt me and may help. Thank you.
Had 2 injections ..after 2 months started having bladder infections. In 4 months i had 3 bladder infections. Before each infection my perineum felt like it was on fire. Mind you I had not had an infection for 54 years. This last Dec. Had another infection and tis past April had another one. It has been almost 2 years since the last shot.G
