Would like to know if anyone had side effects from Prolia but they went away - and how long did it take for that to happen?

Lost all of my top teeth and have spent thousands on implants. Please never take Prolia. You will regret it. So many side effects that can’t list them all.

The side effects are myriad, such as losing teeth for one. At one point I suffered a severe HypoCalcemia ( which can be life threatening ); it also affected my thyroid, making it unstable. There are so many potential side effects that I advise sc4olling through the archives to read all the side effects that have been experienced.

Not all dogs can be trained to be service dogs but I'm going to try.

Hopefully, some of the nasty things I'm still dealing with will at least lessen. That seems to be true for some. I'll stay in touch and continue learning from everyone here. The information on here has been such a blessing.

Hi Sal,
I'm gluten intolerant and have a couple of other digestive issues. With all of the infections I'm getting I'm taking two kinds of probiotics, my gastroenterologist doesn't know this yet. *But* I think it's helping. It sure doesn't seem to be hurting anything.

I keep lots of Nature's Way Umcka around the house due to all the respiratory and allergy/sinus problems and it helps a lot.

My chronic fatigue is bad. I'd love to give it to the one's responsible for putting Prolia on the market and telling the doctors how wonderful it is. It would be my free gift to them.

I have to get better. I'm getting a puppy in a few weeks. We've got walks to go on and I'm going to try and train him as my service dog. My sweet Cairn mix, Sparky was my service dog and he was an amazing doggie. Sal, your exercise program along with my Zumba should get me into dog walking shape. Besides, I've got lots of books to write this year. Who's got time to be sick?

I forgot to mention another factor that helped me, especially for my thyroid and GI issues,

I went Gluten Free. Gluten is highly inflammatory, so it makes sense that it would exacerbate an already inflamed body.

Best wishes to you, I hope it helps you as much as it is helping me.

This morning, I tripped and fell, to my surprise, I got right back up again instead of going to bed with ice and anti inflammatories. That was enough of a surprise, but I moved up to the next level after Beginners, which is Bone Strengthening !

I don’t see the post, so here it is. I recently started a very slow, gentle program. For a very long time I was unable to exercise due to severe stiffness, pain and fatigue, then I found on PBS the perfect exercise. The title of the program is called : Forever Painless by Miranda Esmonde White. The exercise program has a couple of names : Essentrics and Classical Stretch. I immediately went to Amazon and ordered the Beginners level.
In six weeks I have seen and felt an amazing improvement in flexibility and stamina. When I first started I could only bend to the top of my thighs, now I touch the floor. I am looking forward to eventually graduating to the higher level program.

Adding to this post: It's January 2019 and I still have not made it to the YMCA to start working out. Numerous UTIs, and bouts of bronchitis, which I was recently told is now the beginning of COPD. I have never, ever smoked in my life so doctors are perplexed. I told them it was the Prolia, that the drug brings out everything that's nasty. The overcast weather is making my chronic fatigue and pain so bad I'm nauseous. How can I get better if I'm bedridden?

One thing that helps with my bronchitis is Nature's Way Umcka Cold Care.

I'd love suggestions on natural things that have helped any of you. Maybe trying some of your suggestions will help get me to the point where I'll have enough energy to start exercising.

That is really encouraging... perhaps there is an end in sight! I a only 5 months out and new stuff keeps cropping up... but perhaps, over time things will normalize.

Well said. Prolia after my Thyroid which previously had been well stabilized for 18 years.

For two years I have suffered from an unstable thyroid, with crushing fatigue, acute body pain and stiffness, etc, etc. Now for the first time since I first took Prolia two years ago,
I am reclaiming my life.

My bet is that your medicos will just pass it off anyway. None of mine are the least bit interested in even acknowledging my symptoms. In fact it's almost as if I didn't say a thing. I'm fed up with the lot of them and while Amgen Australia will admit that my symptoms can be side effects, their comment is that they are very rare. Really ?

It has taken two years, but I now feel like I am over the effects of Prolia !!!!

In addition, my Dr. is SCHOCKED that I have not continued to lose bone.

Taking a Prolia was one of the worst decisions of my life.

It has been two years since my last shot and I now feel like a new person, finally. Not only that, but my blood tests indicate that I am NOT losing bone! My thyroid problems have finally stabilized, although I now have high cholesterol because of it. This was achieved through diet and exercise.

Hang in there, there is hope.

My mother died after six months after the first shot prolia. She was a dialysis patient and would undergo a kidney transplant. When she was completely paralyzed then they let the transplant continue only to disguise the thruth. My brother was the donor.
