Prolia Side Effects Duration (Page 3)
UpdatedWould like to know if anyone had side effects from Prolia but they went away - and how long did it take for that to happen?
Rosie~if you are still around here, there are class action lawsuits now against Amgen for Prolia. one is for people with the broken thigh and the other is for people that have had medical bills due to this poison. Look and send in your name and get on their lists.
Hope you are still doing well~Pood
Yes I am still around I will start looking for the class action suit if you find any more information please let me know. Thank you
In 4 months I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I have even had 2 doctors agree that is could have been the prolia shot. Good luck to you.
Shortness of breath was sever for a while, better after 5 months. This was my second and LAST shot of this poison.
Had shot 10/15. Severe pain hip, groin, thigh and back started 11/15. Needed Walker and was house bound. Various MRI and bone scans. Fracture of sacrum showed up but I never had an injury. Pain meds and PT started 1/16. Just starting to feel a little better. Can drive again and don't need Walker. Still really tired but I have hope that I will get back to normal. Will not repeat shot.
Which mayo clinic did you go to and who was the doctor? I am going to the one in Minnesota in mid May. I gave not tried account tyre for this yet.
Six months since shot. Felt noticeable improvement about month 5 but still have lingering groin and muscle pain but bearable. Weekly message has been extremely helpful. Every time I have new pain I freak out and wonder.......is it?! Don't believe I will ever be completely symptom free. Please make sure your doctor and pharmacy add Prolia to the list of drugs used so that everything can be checked for drug interaction. I am coming to believe the interaction with methotextrate was the problem for me.
It certainly is a very bad combination for sure and could only have been made worse by Amgen's biologic poison for RA. YIKES!! Pood
Almost 7 months out and I feel about 85% recovered. My health returns in small stages. I go to PT, have therapeutic massages weekly, short excerises 3x day, do water walking 3x week and do not go full steam thru the day. All of the above is done with some difficulty but I am seeing results. My biggest issue is my rheumatologist continues to deny this is from Prolia.
I had a lot of dibilating side effects. I'm 7 months from my last shot & still have hair loss. This drug nearly did me in as bad as chemo. Beware.
RM~According to Amgen, the half life of Prolia is 16 days if I remember correctly. That means in 16 days 1/2 of it will be out of the body and in 16 more days another 1/2 of that half and in 16 days another 1/2 of that half into infinity. Everything on Earth that is or was ever alive is carbon based so it all has half lives and as such there is never an end. That's how scientists can come up with the age of an antiquity, by the amount of carbon left in it. We live on the Earth too and we are also carbon based. If a body were discovered and they wanted to know how old it is, they would do carbon dating to find out how much carbon is left in that body. Prolia is made from live organs so it has half lives which means there will always be a tiny little molecule of Prolia in the human body. It's insufficient to cause any problems but that's the way life on Earth and biologics work. Be well~Pood
Marti~I've over a year and I 'think' my hair is getting better. When I mentioned it to the Doc that gave me the Prolia I was told: "It's just old age." I'm NOT that old!! Be patient. It does lessen over time. Pood
Drs. hate to admit they have poisoned you. This chat room has kept me sane. It has helped to learn from others.
Diana is having surgery for cancer on her thyroid gland. They are going to try to save as much of it is possible. This is long after the Prolia supposedly went poof. Most days she cannot walk and has to use a walker. She was tall in high school but has lost only 2 inches from osteoporosis which puts her about 5'10. I'm beginning to think there is no end to Prolia and I know that is exactly what you ladies do not want to hear. I just invited another lady to visit us here. Her Mother had a Herpes Simplex virus that sprang out during Prolia and has caused her to be blind in that eye. I think we are long over due for legal action.
My doctor has said sorry for pushing Prolia on me. She said recently she doesn't suggest it anymore to her patients because of me...
That's a positive thing out if this.....
Prolia shots is bad medicine after the first month I came down with a bad itch all over my body it has been 6 months now I am still suffering its like my hole body is on fire my legs are all red and hot I have to apply cold water to get relief. That mediation should be off the market I was given allergy pills nothing works. Its dangerous medicine the doctors know that but its al about the money.
Thank you for your post. I feel the same way... I am almost at the 1 year mark from my first and only prolia shot. I'm sick and tired and sick of being tired. It has been a journey... one I wush I never started...
yes very sick on and off sence June!!! now major lung respitory problems !! very weak!! been almost nine mts! I am a pt dancer and health not !! worked out five days a week !very scarred!!
At 4 months I was soooooo sick. I have gotten a little better each month since month 6 post prolia. My upper respiratory infection got so bad, I was told it was copd! It took months to get better and I'm still getting better... seems my symptoms are cyclic... it's not fun, but at almost 11 months post prolia... I do have hope.... when I'm not sick, fatigued, in pain, coughing, or more....
Madeline~Have you gone back to your Dr. and asked for Prednisone. Yes, horrid for the bones but very good at getting rid of the nasty Prolia 'rash' if that's what they want to call it. Be well~Pood
