Would like to know if anyone had side effects from Prolia but they went away - and how long did it take for that to happen?

“Extremely rare”....”Not related “. This is a common refrain. They refuse to believe that Prolia could cause serious side effects. I had severe muscle spasms and weakness, three Dr.s dismissed me, claiming it must my Fibromyalgia. I kept saying that I have had Fibro since before they were born, even though it had not been identified. Finally I went back to New York to see the Physiatrist who treated me when I lived there.
Anyway, it turned out that I had a severe low calcium level, dangerously low. Never allow them to dismiss your symptoms.

I too will never take another ostio drug....after my 2 shots of prolia dont think i would have survived a 3rd....this drug causes more problems than its worth

I don't understand why this is not causing more of an uproar. I foolishly allowed myself tp be bullied into having 6 or 7 shots with the last being 2 to 3 years ago. My jaw and thigh bone aches are persisting. My GP (not either of the 2 who gave me shots) insisted as late as last week when I approached him for some sort of relief that the side effects go after 6 months. He either lied or has been hoodwinked by Amgen. I regret the day I ever had them. No one ever told me of possible side effects. That is such extremely bad patient care. I too wonder how much the big Pharmas are raking in as well as what the docs get as kickbacks. They will all deny this of course.

It will be 3 years on March 7 th since my one and only Prolia injection. I still suffer from angioedema episodes to my ears and face. It happens for really no reason. The pain in my back is excruciating at times but I find if I push myself to walk at least 2k per day then I can struggle through it. It is the worst poison in the market. Maybe people should really look at what we are being told to take in our normal lives not jut the vaccine. Anyway all in all I am better than 3 years ago but will never be my energetic self.

Hi Rose, AMGEN is the biotech corporation that makes Prolia and many other nasty drugs. Just go to Google and enter AMGEN Corporation and you will see their website. One place shows all the drugs they make. You want to find Prolia. After you have Prolia opened, to the far right hand side it says: Contact Us. It's arranged by country with the USA first. Their nurses are so busy, you will have to leave a call back number. It will come from Area Code 919 I think. It's a toll free 1-800 number for you to call them. Also, please call and write the FDA if you are in the USA. They are considering putting stronger warning labels on Prolia. Cancer was horrid and I certainly do not want it back again. You can also order a 'Medical Warning bracelet' on line and have put on it what you want - perhaps Prolia Intolerant or something so they will never give you any more by mistake in a rare event your mind is not aware and you are unable to verbally say NO. Also, there is a huge difference between big pharma companies and biotech companies. Biotech use live animal parts instead of chemicals. In the case of Prolia, it is made from the ovaries of Chinese hamsters. Hoping you are doing much better~Pood

Hi Poodle,
I notified Amgen about my cancer and they said haven't had any reports like mine. I also called the FDA they sent me papers. My doctor and I filled them out so I am trying to make everyone aware of the side effects of this terrible shot. I had my scan Monday and will see the cancer doctor Aug 10th so say a prayer that I will be in remission. Thank you.

Who knows we could be in a trial. Thank you for your prayers, and very glad to hear you are cancer free. Tuesday Aug 11th I will see my cancer doctor about my CT scan and I will let you know the outcome.

Pood! Thanks! My motjers side effect is tingling and numbness of feet and legs and sometimes hand's fingers. They found that the sural nerve in both feet was nor respndong quite ok so diagnosed with neuropathy (peripherial). Doctors dont know or cant explain the cause, they think is random but no, it was just when she took prolia. She was feeling great and perfect before that. She wants to know when can she expect for the side effects to go away and if prolia numbs the nerve or affects it.

Rosie~if you are still around here, there are class action lawsuits now against Amgen for Prolia. one is for people with the broken thigh and the other is for people that have had medical bills due to this poison. Look and send in your name and get on their lists.

Shortness of breath was sever for a while, better after 5 months. This was my second and LAST shot of this poison.

Had shot 10/15. Severe pain hip, groin, thigh and back started 11/15. Needed Walker and was house bound. Various MRI and bone scans. Fracture of sacrum showed up but I never had an injury. Pain meds and PT started 1/16. Just starting to feel a little better. Can drive again and don't need Walker. Still really tired but I have hope that I will get back to normal. Will not repeat shot.

Which mayo clinic did you go to and who was the doctor? I am going to the one in Minnesota in mid May. I gave not tried account tyre for this yet.

It certainly is a very bad combination for sure and could only have been made worse by Amgen's biologic poison for RA. YIKES!! Pood

Prolia shots is bad medicine after the first month I came down with a bad itch all over my body it has been 6 months now I am still suffering its like my hole body is on fire my legs are all red and hot I have to apply cold water to get relief.That mediation should be off the market I was given allergy pills nothing works.Its dangerous medicine the doctors know that but its al about the money.

yes very sick on and off sence June!!! now major lung respitory problems !! very weak!! been almost nine mts! I am a pt dancer and health not !! worked out five days a week !very scarred!!

Madeline~Have you gone back to your Dr. and asked for Prednisone. Yes, horrid for the bones but very good at getting rid of the nasty Prolia 'rash' if that's what they want to call it. Be well~Pood

it has been almost 8 weeks now I am still in crucifying pain its has gotten worst my hole body get is hitching all over and every time I get out of bed my body gets all red all the way down my feet some days I can hardly walk I was told to get rid of my doctor for suggesting that Prolia shot that's what I am going to do I spoke to a lady friend about that Prolia she told me her doctor would have never suggested that for her.
