Prolia-heart Palpitations And High Blood Pressure

Had a Prolia injection last week (thought it was a calcium supplement) Two days later woke 4am with heart palpitations and feeling light-headed. Went to Dr and my blood pressure was 139/85-normally it is 90/60. Still over a week later have to lie down mostly to keep my heart from racing. Never again! I was not told of any side effects or I would not have had it.

I am very sorry about what you've had to deal with, after being given Prolia.

Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including eczema, nausea, diarrhea, and afib. But, it is also well known to cause odd side effects in many people that try it, just like other medications used to treat osteoporosis.

My mother-in-law's doctor talked her into trying one, and within half an hour, she couldn't control her bowels, so she stopped after 2 doses, and refused to take any more.

How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change?
