There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic to another and when going from the name brand to a generic. Thus, you may have been given one that's slightly lower in the dosage, so it doesn't work as well for you.
You can learn more Fiorinal details here and you can learn more Codeine details here.
If your insurance requires them to give you the generic, if it's available, then you may want to ask your doctor to write your prescription as brand medically necessary, so they'll pay for it in the future.
Alternatively, in many cases your body will adjust in a week or two, as it gets used to the new one, but I understand that you may be too miserable to wait for that to happen.
Is there anything else I can help with?
RE: Watson Fiorinal with Codeine. When my headaches either lessened or abated entirely (for a few hours) after taking brand-name Watson F w/C but not with generic, I figured it was just me and my body. Your reply to the original question helped me to understand not only WHY but that it's not just me. THANK YOU for that.
Now that this Watson Fiorinal shortage has reached New Mexico, my rx had to be filled by generic. You said that one's body can adjust to the change in a week or so...does that mean pain relief CAN increase to brand name level or at least somewhere in between?
Do they have any idea as to when Brand Name Watson Fiorinal w/codein will once again be available?
s there anyway to get the Watson brand of finorail with codine
