It is still available in the US, most commonly sold under the brand name Bontril.

Dont confuse phenmetrazine with phendimetrazine. The first is the active ingredient in Preludin (long ago discontinued due to abuse). Phendimetrazine is the active ingredient in Bontril (close cousin to the phenmetrazine but a schdule III controlled medication with much less abuse potential and available freely under many different names).

they don't make it anymore, not since 1991, but the generic of Bontril (phendimetrazine) is awesome. Scientists tinkered with the chemical formula to create phendimetrazine and it's quite close, and really effective if you take enough. 35mg. pills should do the trick.

My dad passed away when I was 9. I just found a whole bottle of preludin 75 and was looking to find out what they are. Thanks for all the info, they are dated from 1983.

See response number eight it explains that it was taken off the market in 1991 and it offers a nice substitute.

My Dr. Put me on this pill in the late 70s. For depression. I became very adicted to them and was in UofM hospital for 3 months, getting off of them. It was a. Very bad time in my life. I was in my early 20s.

Discontinued due to its high abuse potential. The pro-drug version, phendimetrazine (Bontril), is still prescribed as a weight loss aid.

I remember the BI 62 original pills in 1981, they were awesome but then they started changing them to like BI 52's. Haven't even seen any since 1984.
